Since reopening in February 2025, Saint Laurent Rive Droite has taken its unique concept to a new level. A cross between a cultural platform and a lifestyle space, this one-of-a-kind store reflects the House’s commitment to creativity.
In July, the ground floor of the Saint Laurent Rive Droite boutique in Paris welcomed the paintings of Italian avant-garde artist Francesco Clemente, who was tapped by Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello to create a series of portraits for the House’s Summer 2025 campaign. Reflecting Saint Laurent’s commitment to engaging with visionary artists, the Saint Laurent Rive Droite store is a unique destination, creating bridges between fashion, art, culture, design and lifestyle. On the eve of its next exhibition with conceptual artist Tiona Nekkia McClodden, which opens on September 11th, here are 5 things you need to know about this one-of-a-kind retail concept.
Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris is housed within iconic walls: on the corner of the Rue Saint-Honoré and the Rue du 29 Juillet, in the 1st arrondissement, it occupies the space where cult concept store colette made fashion history from 1997 to 2017. After initially opening in 2019, the store underwent significant renovations and reopened in its current form in February 2025. Entirely curated by Anthony Vaccarello and named in playful reference to Rive Gauche, the line that democratized luxury, it extends beyond fashion, offering a multidisciplinary experience that integrates unique collaborations, cultural initiatives and artistic expression. In addition to a unique selection of pieces from the Saint Laurent universe, this cultural hub also holds immersive exhibitions and events expressing Saint Laurent’s ties to the arts. Fully open to the public, visitors are invited to browse the store, discover the artworks on display, leaf through the extensive selection of art books and soak up its unique atmosphere.
In addition to a selection of pieces from Saint Laurent’s Women’s and Men’s Ready-to-Wear collections as well as accessories, Saint Laurent Rive Droite offers a curation of highly collectible lifestyle pieces, including branded apparel, accessories and small objects. Rive Droite also collaborates with renowned French heritage brands to create one-of-a-kind pieces spanning the entire lifestyle segment: crystal glassware with Baccarat, solid silver lighters with S.T. Dupont, golden pocket knives with Opinel, heritage wool sweaters with Saint James… This eclectic selection is entirely curated by Anthony Vaccarello, making sure even the most accessible pieces stay aligned with the House’s creative vision.
Inside the store, wood, concrete, and metal are crafted to form a sleek and modern look. Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris’s newly transformed space was conceived with Donald Judd Furniture, the interiors company founded by American minimalist artist Donald Judd in the 1980s. A collaborative design endeavour between Donald Judd Furniture and Anthony Vaccarello, the location features iconic furniture designs by Donald Judd throughout the space. Two bespoke finishes— steel and traffic white painted aluminum—are available to purchase exclusively through the store, as well as a collection of 15 designs, from chairs and tables to desks and beds. This architectural dimension not only contributes to the store’s unique aesthetic, but also reveals Saint Laurent’s dedication to the world of design.
Make your way to the lower level of Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris and you’ll step into a whole other experience: the first permanent Sushi Park location outside of Los Angeles, California. Known for its exceptional omakase, this iconic dining destination, beloved by Anthony Vaccarello and his inner circle, offers an intimate tasting experience of masterfully crafted seasonal Japanese cuisine. It’s the first time that Saint Laurent experiments with fine dining, and this hushed and refined restaurant has become a destination in itself: open to everyone, it is accessible from a discreet entrance on the Rue du 29 Juillet.
The Rive Droite universe has another location in Paris: Saint Laurent Babylone, a cultural destination and bookstore on the Rue de Grenelle in the 7th arrondissement, whose name pays tribute to the Sèvres-Babylone neighborhood where Yves Saint Laurent lived and worked. Dedicated to art, culture and new modes of expression, it focuses mainly on books, music and photography with its own cultural events program: from September 3 to 28, it will showcase the work of D. M. Terblanche, an artist who specializes in narrative documentary and portrait photography. Lastly, the Rive Droite concept also has an outpost in Los Angeles, located on Rodeo Drive, bringing together California’s free-spirited energy with the House’s signature French sophistication.
