Role Mission
The Merchandising Coordinator supports the Merchandise Director in planning, analysis, and execution of commercial initiatives, ensuring rigorous follow-up, accurate reporting, and consistent merchandising discipline across Mexico & Caribbean stores. This role serves as a liaison between Merchandising, Retail, Visual Merchandising, Inventory Planning, and regional teams to guarantee data-driven decision making and consistent execution in stores.
Key Responsibilities
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales trends by category, store, and item.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, KPIs, and structured business summaries to support in-season decision making.
- Support the preparation of documents and presentations for internal and market meetings.
- Monitor best sellers, slow movers, stock levels, and sell-through performance to proactively highlight risks and opportunities.
Buying & Collection Support
- Support the preparation and consolidation of data, assortment summaries, and store feedback for Buying Campaigns.
- Prepare store-level and category-level summaries with customer insights and assortment needs.
- Participate in collection walk-throughs, reviews, and product selection during market sessions.
Inventory Coordination & Replenishment
- Collaborate with Inventory Planning to ensure optimal assortment and timely replenishment.
- Coordinate with Retail teams to ensure visibility on deliveries, stock priorities, and replenishment follow-up.
Store Visits & Retail Support
- Conduct regular store visits to gather commercial, product, and execution insights and provide structured feedback to the Merchandising Director.
- Follow up on action plans derived from sales analysis and improvement opportunities.
- Identify customer trends, traffic patterns, and cross-selling opportunities on the sales floor.
Competitor & Market Insights
- Collect competitive intelligence, market trends, and consumer behavior insights.
- Report on competitor strategies regarding assortment, pricing, product, and visual execution.
Visual Merchandising Support
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to ensure floor sets and displays align with commercial strategy.
- Identify visual opportunities to enhance conversion and maximize KPIs.
Cross-functional Communication
- Maintain ongoing communication with Retail, Visual, Client engagement, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and follow-ups to support execution of commercial initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in merchandising, commercial analysis, or fashion/luxury retail.
- Experience with sales analysis tools and inventory systems.
- Strong Excel skills (advanced use of pivot tables and data analysis required).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in dynamic environments.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Passion for fashion, product, and trends.
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear commercial recommendations.
