Kering Eyewear

Kering Eyewear is the one and only luxury eyewear company. Beginning as a startup in 2015, Kering Eyewear has grown exponentially since then, thanks to the strong support of the Kering Group, its extraordinary portfolio of 14 brands, and the best team of professionals in the industry.

History

Founded in 2014 by Kering and a group of managers led by Roberto Vedovotto, Kering Eyewear is the leader of the luxury eyewear market. The company designs, develops, and distributes eyewear for the Kering Houses alongside the brands added to its portfolio following a partnership with the Richemont Group in 2017. This selection was further bolstered by the addition of several independent brands: Lindberg, the celebrated Danish luxury eyewear brand; Maui Jim, renowned for its advanced polarized lens technology and Hawaiian heritage; and Zeal Optics, a specialist in sustainable eyewear for outdoor adventurers. In 2025, Kering Eyewear and Valentino announced a global agreement, effective from January 1st, 2026.

Strategic vision

By integrating the strategic eyewear category in-house, moving away from the traditional licensing model, Kering Eyewear has revolutionized its sector. This innovative approach, combined with the partnership with Richemont and the acquisition of iconic independent brands, has enabled the company to build an extraordinary portfolio: Gucci, Cartier, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, McQueen, Chloé, Alaïa, Montblanc, Dunhill, Puma, Lindberg, Maui Jim and Zeal Optics. Additionally, thanks to strategic partnerships with the sector’s leading manufacturers and its directly-owned production sites, Kering Eyewear can rely on the excellence of a supply chain that guarantees technical expertise and the highest production quality.
