    Cristóbal Balenciaga founded the House in 1917 in his home of Spain. In 1937, he established the brand in Paris, designing its collections there until 1968. Cristóbal Balenciaga had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior and as “The Couturier of the Couturiers” by Gabrielle Chanel. The ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house. While the brand’s identity is firmly rooted in its highly conceptual prêt-à-porter collections, its leather goods, footwear, and accessories experience worldwide success as well. Among the archetypal products of the House are its handbag collections. A new focus on the development of Balenciaga ready-to-wear collections for men was quickly established as highly successful. Since October 2015, Demna has designed both men’s and women’s collections as the artistic director. The Balenciaga House, part of the Kering group since 2001, is one of the most influential names in fashion.

    Your opportunity

    Within the E-Business Department of the company, you will be part of the E-Retail team and assist all E-Retail team members in their missions.

    You will work closely with various internal stakeholders as well as with our e-retail business partners.

    You will have the opportunity to engage with various aspects related to e-commerce.  

    In this operational position, you will actively participate in the achievement of the business goals of the team, and in ensuring the respect and excellence of our brand image online.

    How you will contribute

    You will be a key member of the team and will actively support the team on a number of different activities :

    • Performance: support the team in monitoring the performance of e-retail partners (net sales, sell-through, returns rates); participate in business reviews with e-retail partners.
    • Ensuring that the brand image is well represented online: ensure that prices, product descriptions and product packshots are correctly applied
    • Monitoring online collection launches: ensure that collections are launched in time and in accordance with our brand guidelines ; monitor products reception from production, deliveries, online go-live
    • Marketing: maintenance of the marketing calendar for an adaptation to the e-retail scope ; support the roll-out of the 2024 online marketing plan on each e-retail platform ; coordinate sample requirements with the press team
    • Ship-from-store activity: act as the principal point of contact for our department store partners for topic related to their online business ; ensure the collections and products go-live on their websites
    • Market and competition watch: Market watch to analyse our competitors' online exposure, identify best practice and make recommendations

    Who you are 

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, meaning that you have the ability to interact positively and work collaboratively with individuals at all levels.
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to pay attention to details
    • Excellent oral and written communications
    • First 6 months' experience (in digital / e-commerce / e-merchandising, or account management, wholesale, business analyst)
    • Knowledge of e-retail platforms and of the luxury e-commerce market is a plus
    • Proficiency in Office package, especially Excel
    • Fluent in English
