Role Mission

The Senior Manager, Retail Training primary responsibilities will be focused on the execution of a 360-training strategy that impacts business priorities through relevant and meaningful content creation, deployment, and application of behaviors. The Senior Manager of Retail Training will work closely with the Director of Retail Training and cross-functionally with the Client Engagement, GUCCI 9, Merchandising, Store Operations, Retail, Digital and Human Resources teams to ensure training activities are aligned with overarching objectives of all cross-functional stakeholders and strategically focused to deliver on the business priorities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the execution of the company's strategic training plan unique to each business channel: Retail, Concession, Outlet, Watches & Jewelry and Gucci 9;
  • Manage the implementation of local and WW training and development initiatives;
  • Mange the creation of supplemental content and messaging to field training teams to better position global learning materials for the local markets;
  • In partnership with the Director, Retail Training, ensure strategic quality of goal setting, follow-up, and measurement of L&D activities programs;
  • Manage digital tools such as Retail Portal, EdApp, Training Follow-Up App to optimize content delivery and behavioral reinforcement;
  • Support evolution of LUCE app with feedback and integrating concepts within existing training offerings;
  • Review and provide feedback on content created by WW partners and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure training is relevant, focused and can be reinforced by behavioral coaching;
  • Partner with Director of Retail Training and WW team to establish and maintain training metrics that evaluate the impact and effectiveness of learning outcomes on business results;
  • Support broader field-based training community by coaching and delivering feedback on strategic planning, execution and measuring impact;
  • In partnership with HR teams, facilitate brand and product induction for new hires via GUCCI U and support field training teams in clearly defining the in-store onboarding that follows;
  • Support new and on-going training and leadership development initiatives, as directed by Director of Training.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of experience with solid career progression, including at least three years' experience in retail;
  • Strong project management experience in successfully managing, delivering, and improving high-quality programs;
  • Effective and creative problem-solving skills, strong business acumen;
  • Demonstrated ability to employ sound judgment in complex situations;
  • Must be comfortable working through ambiguity and in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities;
  • Self-directed in planning own work and work of teams;
  • Excellent interpersonal, public communication and facilitation skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills;
  • Working knowledge of group and corporate dynamics and integrity;
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all levels within an organization;
  • Must possess a positive, solution-oriented, and customer-focused attitude;
  • Strong technical aptitude and expertise (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Learning Management Systems).
