Job Family Description - Audit, Business Analysis & Controlling :
Ensures the development and implementation of controlling standards, processes and solutions to potential issues encountered, regardless of the specific domain of information that is controlled. Supports our business by performing financial analysis. Participates in closing budgets and accounts procedures.
Speciality Description - Inventory Controlling:
Analyzes, forecasts and prepares inventory planning to optimize and control inventory stock levels and meet our customer service objectives.
How you will contribute
You will be a key player in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory financial data. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Execute daily inventory system operations, including sales audits, monitoring stock transactions, reconciling discrepancies, and validating data accuracy.
- Lead month-end closing activities for inventory, such as cost calculations, valuation adjustments, and provision analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., in-house Brand Finance, Logistics, Retail Operations, Procurement) to resolve inventory-related issues and drive process optimization.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute key inventory reports, including Goods-in-Transit (GIT) aging analysis and negative on-hand inventory monitoring
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls governing inventory management.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and providing clear explanations of processes.
- Participate in the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of SAP inventory modules and related systems.
- Identify and contribute to continuous process improvement and standardization initiatives within the Finance Shared Services Center.
Who You Are
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory accounting, with a preference for backgrounds in retail, luxury goods, or consumer products industry.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, specifically within inventory and finance modules.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and inventory management best practices.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, essential for effective international collaboration.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Superior organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
