    Your opportunity

    We are seeking an R2R & Statutory Reporting Manager with strong expertise in R2R processes and statutory reporting, reporting to the Head of R2R and FP&A within our Finance Shared Services team in Malaysia.

    The role plays a pivotal role in driving financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence across the region. You will oversee end‑to‑end record‑to‑report processes, lead statutory reporting and audit activities, and ensure timely, accurate financial close.

    How you will contribute

    Primary Responsibilities: Reporting & Analysis

    Oversee & Review the following activities (with a strong hands‑on approach where needed) :

    • Monthly financial reporting (HFM/MRP), ensuring the accuracy of data, reconciliations, and variance commentary.
    • Budgeting and forecasting cycles including templates preparation, consolidation, and deviation analysis.
    • P&L and balance sheet analytics for designated brands, markets, or entities.
    • Assist Brand Finance teams with performance reviews, scenario analysis, and financial insights.
    • Full set of accounts in SAP working closely with respective functions in SSC and brand finance for month and year end reporting with a strong controllership mindset and ensure that the financials prepared comply with applicable accounting standards.
    • Monthly and yearly group reporting package in HFM after closure of accounts in SAP as per group closing timeline.
    • Review Balance sheet reconciliation package monthly to stakeholders to ensure that all open items are properly explained and tracked.
    • Overseeing Inventory control for SEAO/ANZ including month‑end stock adjustments and sales‑by‑category reporting based on JDA data.
    • Monitoring inventory movements and reconciling retail sales timing vs stock outflow.
    • Year‑end and interim stock-take processes.
    • All areas relating to year-end statutory reporting including Audits, Corporate tax and local regulatory required submissions (including preparation of audit schedules, financial statements, managing audit queries and issues).

    Brand Partnering & Stakeholder Coordination

    Act as daily contact point for assigned brands and markets.

    Coordinate across Retail Operations, Logistics, and Brand Finance on financial, inventory, or audit-related items.

    Work with Corporate Legal (HK) and corporate secretarial partners on filing matters.

    Collaborate with Shared Services teams across P2P, R2R, MDM and Tech for end‑to‑end issue resolution.

    Support various ad hoc assignments and projects as required by management.

    Secondary Responsibilities

    Tax Reporting

    • Support preparation of Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation and related reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided to brands and auditors.
    • Coordinate with external advisors and Group Tax on compliance matters, audits, and regulatory updates.
    • Review tax computations, returns, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
    • Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and payments, monitoring deadlines and compliance calendars

    Stakeholder Management & Advisory Support

    • Liaise with Tax Agents to provide tax compliance guidance to internal stakeholders on routine transactions, employee-related taxes, and operational matters.
    • Support tax-related aspects of business changes, restructurings, or new initiatives from a compliance perspective.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for external providers supporting tax, statutory, accounting and compliance activities.

    Process Improvement & Governance

    • Drive continuous improvement of tax compliance processes, including standardization, automation, and documentation.
    • Ensure alignment with Group tax policies, internal controls, and governance requirements.
    • Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements related to tax compliance.

    Management and Organization Objectives:

    • Lead and coach analysts and specialists supporting tax and statutory. Build the capabilities of team members through inspiring team to achieve high performance;
    • Ensure strong resource planning, coverage, knowledge transfer and documentation.
    • Support capability building and development within the SSC finance community.
    • Assign SMART Goals to team members and monitor performance in accordance with the framework of Kering performance management process, formal review twice a year and quarterly feedback to assess the progress against goals and ensure coaching on performance challenges;
    • Ensure adequate finance bench strength in place to meet current and future business needs, focus on the design and facilitation of the development plan for high potential members.

    Who you are

    • Experience, business and technical skills
    • Bachelor degree or above with the major in Finance/Accounting
    • Minimum 10 years of commercial finance/multinational company working experience
    • Proven ability to manage external auditors, advisors and compliance cycles.
    • Experience with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and audit coordination.
    • Strong proficiency in HFM/MRP, JDE, JDA and shared services operating models.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
    • Excellent English written and oral presentation skills and ability to tailor messaging to various levels
    • Strong leadership and people communications skill
    • Strong sense of responsibility, detail oriented and high teamwork spirit

    Soft skills:

    • Relevant Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
    • SAP experiences
    • Retail industry or consumer products industry is an advantage
    • Passion for luxury and consumer products
    • Adaptability to fast-pace change – internal and external
    • Business Intelligence experience (PowerBI)
