GUCCI Soft Accessories Senior Designer

Your Opportunity

As Soft Accessories Senior Designer, you will be responsible for the creative design and development of men’s and women’s soft accessories across seasonal collections and special projects. You will play a key role in translating the Artistic Direction and brand identity into distinctive, innovative, and commercially relevant products, ensuring consistency with Gucci’s aesthetic values while pushing creative boundaries.

This role requires a strong balance between conceptual creativity, technical knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration, overseeing the design process from initial research and ideation through development and final approval.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creative ideation, design, and development of Soft Accessories (including scarves, hats, textile-based accessories, and other soft categories)
• Translate Artistic Direction and seasonal themes into compelling design proposals, ensuring brand coherence and product desirability
• Develop and present creative concepts, moodboards, color palettes, and collection narratives
• Produce detailed sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications to support Product Development and Production teams
• Collaborate closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production to ensure feasibility, quality, and timely delivery
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from prototype to final sample approval
• Conduct trend, market, material, and archive research to support continuous innovation
• Ensure a strong balance between creative expression, functionality, craftsmanship, and commercial relevance
• Support and mentor junior designers, contributing to the growth and creative excellence of the team
• Actively participate in collection reviews, fittings, and internal presentations

Requirements

• Proven experience (7-10 years) as a Senior Designer within soft accessories or related categories in the luxury fashion industry
• Strong creative vision combined with excellent technical understanding of materials, construction, and manufacturing processes
• In-depth knowledge of accessories development and sensitivity to luxury craftsmanship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly creative environment while managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
• A proactive, curious, and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English
