KERING DATA Tech Lead

Your opportunity

As DATA Tech Lead, you will play a key transversal role within the Analytics Engineering Chapter, acting as a facilitator, synchronization point, and alignment driver across multiple data domains.

You will work closely with Tech Leads, Product Owners, Architects, and other Chapter Leads to ensure smooth communication, coherent practices, and effective execution of transversal initiatives. This role is not about direct technical ownership of a single product, but about enabling Tech Leads and squads to perform at their best, while ensuring alignment with the chapter vision and group strategy.

How you will contribute

Communication & Synchronization

• Act as a facilitator of communication between Tech Leads across multiple domains.
• Serve as a central synchronization point to ensure shared understanding of priorities, dependencies, and risks.
• Relay chapter strategy, vision, and key messages consistently across squads.

Consistency & Best Practices

• Ensure harmonization of engineering and analytics practices across domains.
• Promote chapter-wide standards related to code quality, data engineering best practices, observability, documentation, and delivery.
• Support Tech Leads in applying architecture, governance, and platform guidelines.

Delivery Follow-up & Risk Management

• Ensure the follow-up of transversal initiatives (engineering foundations, tooling, quality improvements, etc.).
• Identify, consolidate, and escalate risks, dependencies, and structural needs across domains.
• Contribute to delivery predictability by monitoring progress and highlighting potential blockers.

Cross-Domain Coordination

• Centralize information coming from different squads and domains to provide clear visibility to chapter leadership.
• Facilitate collaboration between Engineering & Analytics and other chapters (Product, BI, AI, Architecture, Platforms).
• Support alignment between business priorities and engineering execution.

People Enablement

• Support Tech Leads in their role, helping them navigate complexity and grow as technical leaders.
• Foster a strong Analytics Engineering community, encouraging knowledge sharing and collective ownership.
• Encourage a culture of transparency, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Who you are

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer, or Engineering Manager in a data or software engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics concepts, platforms, and delivery constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across teams and domains, without relying on hierarchical authority.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to synthesize complex topics and create alignment.
• Good knowledge and understanding on Data concepts and cloud technologies: Datalake, data warehouse and distributed data platform concepts (Data Mesh)
• Proficient in SQL, ETL/ELT development, data modeling and Databases (Oracle, Big Query, etc…)
• Strong knowledge in GCP cloud computing especially in Data services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Airflow, …). Certification around Cloud architecting is a plus
• Strong expertise with DBT.
• Experience in agile@scale environments and familiarity with agile tools Jira/Confluence
• Organized, structured, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Empathetic, collaborative, and open-minded, with a natural leadership posture.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
