    Your Opportunity

    You will work closely with our Embroidery Design team by helping them to create and bring to life the Artistic Director’s vision. As an Embroidery Designer, you will support the team through every aspect of the creative process: from research to design, product knowledge, development, and all ad hoc duties required by the team.

    How you will contribute (key accountabilities)

    • Develop creative ideas and concepts based on the guidelines of the Artistic Direction
    • You will work on embroidery research and development, liaising with archives, suppliers, and trade fairs
    • Design embroideries across different product categories (woven, jersey, knitwear, denim)
    • Oversee the entire prototyping process, from test launch to defect correction
    • Manage the placement of embroidery artwork on DXF files
    • Collaborate with the Design and Product teams during the pre- and post-handoff phases
    • Actively contribute to the preparation of collection reviews (boards, books, presentations)
    • Conduct thorough research on different product variations
    • Deliver regular researches on different embroidery techniques and materials
    • Manage fabric and material archive
    • Regularly work on the creation of mood boards aligned with the vision shared by the Artistic Director
    • Assist to any part of the design process required by the Designer
    • Prepare specs and managing deliveries and collection deadlines
    • Deliver regular feedback to the Product development team concerning any changes to be made to different collection pieces
    • Performe ad hoc and administrative tasks as required by the team
    • Share in a precise way all the technical and creative ideas with the wider Creative team

    Things That Should Be in Your Background

    • Previous experience (ideally 2-3 years) in a similar role, possibly in embroidery and prints design departments
    • Excellent drawing skills
    • Good research skills
    • Proficiency in using Photoshop, In Design and Illustrator
    • Fluent in English and Italian
    • Understanding of the fashion industry or previous luxury goods experience
    • Good organizational skills with an ability to manage a changing workload effectively to meet weekly deadlines
    • Sense of aesthetics aligned with the current creative vision of Gucci

    • Strong understanding of the brand ethos and ethical values
    • Ability to understand creative direction and concept
    • If you speak any additional languages, it would be of advantage
