KERING Technical SAP Platforms Senior Manager

We are currently seeking a SAP Technical Platforms Senior Manager to join our team SAP Centre of Excellence team based between Paris and Milan.

Your opportunity

The SAP Technical Platforms Manager plays a critical leadership role within the SAP Center of Excellence, with end-to-end accountability for the SAP technical platforms and services globally.

The role is responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the SAP technical landscape in strong alignment with Kering Enterprise Architecture and IT strategy, ensuring security, stability, scalability, and cost efficiency across all SAP environments.

This position acts as the single point of accountability for SAP technical platforms, covering architecture, platform strategy, run operations, and technical transformation initiatives. The role leads SAP technical programs, governs SAP Basis and platform operations, oversees ABAP and technical development delivered by strategic partners, and manages globally distributed teams across AMER, EMEA, and APAC.

The role reports directly to the Global Head of SAP CoE and partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Business leadership.

How you will contribute

SAP Technical Platform Strategy & Architecture

• Define and own the SAP technical platforms strategy aligned with Kering Enterprise Architecture.
• Act as SAP technical architecture authority ensuring coherence, security, performance and sustainability.
• Drive SAP technology roadmap (S/4HANA, ECC, HANA, BTP, integration layers).
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and corporate IT standards.

SAP Technical Programs & Transformation Delivery

• Lead and govern SAP technical initiatives including upgrades, migrations, cloud transitions, rollouts, and major transformation programs.
• Provide senior technical leadership during solution design, build, and deployment phases.
• Coordinate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and SAP functional teams to ensure end‑to‑end delivery.
• Support strategic initiatives such as cloud adoption, RISE with SAP, and platform modernization

SAP Platform Operations (Basis & Cloud Services)

• Own SAP platform run and operations, ensuring high availability, performance, capacity, and service continuity
• Define, monitor, and continuously improve SLAs, KPIs, and operational excellence metrics
• Drive automation, standardization, resiliency, and cost optimization across SAP technical services
• Act as escalation point for major incidents and platform risks, ensuring rapid resolution and transparent communication

ABAP, Integration & Partner Governance

• Govern ABAP development and technical services delivered by offshore partners and system integrators
• Ensure code quality, performance, security, and adherence to development standards
• Oversee integration patterns and technologies (IDocs, APIs, events, web services, SAP Integration Suite)
• Manage demand intake, prioritization, capacity, and delivery efficiency across technical streams

People, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop internal and external SAP technical teams across regions (AMER, EMEA, APAC)
• Manage strategic relationships with system integrators, cloud providers, and SAP
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior IT and business stakeholders
• Provide structured reporting, risk management, and executive-level escalation to the Global Head of SAP CoE

Who you are

• An experienced professional with a proven track record in large, complex, and international environments (minimum 8–10 years)
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience managing distributed and offshore teams as well as system integrators
• Excellent communication skills in English; Italian and/or French are considered a strong asset
• Strong technical expertise in SAP environments, including S/4HANA, HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite / PI‑PO, and Fiori
• Proven experience in SAP Basis and cloud infrastructure; expertise in security and operations is a strong plus
• Strong knowledge of ABAP development governance and modern integration patterns (APIs, events, services, etc.)
