    KERING Head of Corporate Communications & Community Engagement, Americas

    The Head of Corporate Communications & Community Engagement will contribute to what the world knows about Kering, its mission and culture through the development and delivery of communications, events, social media, and community engagement.  This position demands a significant amount of autonomy and subject matter expertise. The position involves defining local communications priorities and executing global communications strategies in the region, managing media relations, serving as a member of the regional leadership team, and serving as a senior advisor to the Group Chief Brand Officer and President of the Americas region. Key responsibilities include helping to shape and enhance the Group’s reputation in the region, overseeing both internal and external messaging across platforms, leading and coordinating Group events in the region, coordinating with and supporting our Houses, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders like media and influencers, and supporting crisis communications. The role requires a strategic, adaptable leader with extensive experience in luxury brand communications, proven ability to influence and drive internal projects, and manage complex global challenges. The role will report to the Group Chief Brand Officer in Paris and to the President of the Americas region.

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

    • Lead development and coordination of multimedia public relations strategy, packages, and calendar in the region.
    • Drive external reputation for Kering through proactive storytelling, positioning Kering and senior leadership as thought leaders and innovators in the industry.
    • Engage and maintain relationships with key media contacts to help support and promote Kering’s activities.
    • Build and maintain partnerships with various local and national organizations; Serve as a key contact for community organizations.
    • Increase awareness and visibility of our philanthropic efforts and other initiatives, including sustainability, Kering’s Women in Motion platform, and the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women gala, to both corporate and fashion media.
    • Build key relationships with and support our brands through surfacing opportunities, sharing best practices, nurturing the communications and marketing communities between the brands and corporate to enable the exchange of ideas, and leveraging Group synergies.
    • Support Kering’s internal communications teams on significant local and global events and internal messaging.
    • Ensure local communication plans and calendar are aligned to global communication strategies and timelines.
    • Partner with the President of Kering Americas on editorial process regarding presentations, public inquiries, and commentary on industry market information.
    • Serve as the local point of contact for all print and media inquiries, and evaluate the need for escalation and/or crafting the appropriate response.
    • Manage crisis communication and other sensitive topics to protect our reputation and maintain a positive image.
    • Build a strong relationship with leadership located in Europe and other key stakeholders; provide recommendations pertaining to the US market.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 10+ years of work experience required
    • MBA preferred
    • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong background in digital and written communications
    • Proven track record of creating and maintaining successful networked relationships
    • Experience in direct corporate population outreach
    • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
    • Ability to be persuasive and influential in the absence of organizational authority
    • Must be able to understand and work within a group organizational structure
    • Collaborative, proactive, reactive, highly responsive, fast, and entrepreneurial

    Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 per year plus incentives
