Women In Motion

Launched in May 2015 by Kering in partnership with the Festival de Cannes, Women In Motion shines a spotlight on women’s contribution to the film industry, both in front of and behind the camera. The program’s two pillars are its Talks and its Awards. Since its creation, the program has grown internationally and expanded its focus to other art forms such as photography.

The Talks

The Talks offer prominent film industry figures the opportunity to share their experiences and viewpoints concerning the representation of women in cinema, on the screen and throughout the industry at every level. Since 2015, nearly 50 Talks have been held at the Festival de Cannes, with more than 60 industry personalities featured as speakers. About ten events have been held elsewhere in the world.
