Your opportunity

As part of the Kering Privacy Team, the Privacy Manager for Korea would directly report to the Head of Data Privacy APAC. This position is Based in Seoul with occasional business trips in Korea, and where necessary to Shanghai and Paris.

How you will contribute

The Privacy Manager for Korea shall perform the following tasks:

  • supporting the day-to-day implementation, by the Korean Kering and brand entities, of the Privacy Framework designed by the Group Privacy Officer (e.g. help setting up and maintaining RoPA, help performing Privacy Impact Assessments, etc.)
  • advising the Privacy Coordinators of the Kering brands on privacy related questions and identifying/assessing potential gaps between local Privacy regulations and operational activities of brands.
  • assisting the Privacy Coordinators of the Kering brands in reviewing/negotiating data protection agreements
  • assisting the Privacy Coordinators of the Kering brands in performing transfer impact assessments as may be required
  • performing continuous Privacy legal watch for Korea and liaise with the Privacy Officer APAC for regular updates
  • participating in regular catch-up meetings with members of the Kering Privacy team to keep them informed and updated about the state of Privacy in Korea.
  • assisting the Kering brands in their relationships with data subjects through the documentation provided, and if deemed necessary, by providing assistance to brands Privacy Coordinators when requested
  • from time to time, performing Privacy training to stakeholders in Kering group
  • representing the Kering Privacy team in the day-to-day relationships with Korean external counsels
  • As a member of Privacy team, complete other tasks assigned by privacy officer APAC or group privacy officer, such tasks may not necessarily limited to Korea.

  • Interest in Privacy (previous experience is a plus but not mandatory provided the candidate is interested and willing to learn)
  • Strong adaptability to different needs from various sources
  • Ability to understand and tackle complex problematics
  • Autonomy and capacity to self-improve on Privacy topics
  • Pragmatism and good understanding of business requirements
  • Reactivity and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills as the position imply reporting duties
