    Your opportunity
     

    As a Women Leather Goods Senior Collection Merchandiser, you will report to the LG Collection Merchandising Manager.

    How you will contribute

    As part of the Leather Goods Collection Merchandising team, you will lead and develop a team of two Collection Merchandisers and play a key role in shaping the end-to-end construction of Balenciaga’s Women’s Leather Goods collections.

    You will be responsible for the following missions:


    Collection Strategy & Product Development:

    • Build the collection brief based on brand strategy and our business needs.
    • Follow up the collection development and collaborate with creative teams, to ensure harmony between artistic vision and commercial potential.
    • Monitor product lifecycle and propose optimization strategies.

    Market & Performance Analysis:

    • Conduct 360 benchmarking of the luxury market (product, pricing, trends, customer behaviors).
    • Analyze collection results (sell in, sell out, sell-through, margins) to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
    • Provide strategic insights to guide future product and collection development.

    Pricing & Margin Piloting:

    • Define global pricing strategy in line with positioning and margin target
    • Monitor cost evolution during development phase to influence the product development.
    • Work on cost optimization suggestions to help improve the global margin.

    Buying Session & Production Follow Up:

    • Ensure collaboration between coordination, development, production, retail, and wholesale departments to meet deadlines, quality standards, and overall consistency.
    • Actively participate in key stages, such as showrooms and collection presentations.
    • Follow up the product validation and production to reach the target deliveries in store.

    Who you are

    • At least 5 years’ experience in collection merchandising.
    • Strong knowledge of the global luxury market and consumer behavior.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with flexibility and ability to work with transversal teams.
    • Proven experience in team management with the ability to inspire, structure, and develop talent.
    • Fluent in English and French.
    • Expert in the Pack Office (Excel, Powerpoint), PLM will be a plus.
