    DODO Direct Procurement Internship

    We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Direct Procurement Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Direct Procurement team, providing analytical support and contributing to the development and implementation of direct purchasing and industrialization strategies.

    As part of the Operations Department, you will collaborate closely with the Industrialization team, acting as a key link between industrialization activities and the activation of production with both Italian and international suppliers.

    Your key responsibilities will include supporting External Supplier Management, Strategic Procurement activities, Process Optimization, as well as Documentation and Workflow Management.

    What would you learn:

    • External Supplier Activation & Scouting: Support the identification and activation of external suppliers for production, managing the full onboarding process from initial scouting and capability assessment to qualification and project kick-off. Ensure alignment on technical specifications, quality standards, and timelines, facilitating an effective integration into ongoing and new product development projects.
    • Strategic Procurement Support: You will take part in the implementation of procurement strategies for direct materials and industrial services, ensuring alignment with production and industrialization objectives.
    • Process Optimization: You will contribute to the optimization of the external supply chain by identifying opportunities to improve lead times, reduce costs, and increase operational flexibility in close collaboration with suppliers.
    • Documentation and Workflow Management: You will manage and update technical and commercial documentation related to suppliers, supporting approval workflows, contract management, and the tracking of industrial progress.
    • Spend Analysis: You will support spend analysis activities by gathering data and assisting in the identification of opportunities to optimize procurement spending.

    How can you contribute

    • Bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 0-2 years of experience in direct procurement, supply chain analysis, or a related field (internship or academic experience is a plus).
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
    • Proactive attitude with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
    • Eagerness to learn and develop skills in procurement and data analysis.
    • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English – both written and spoken; knowledge of any other foreign language is greatly appreciated
