    We are currently seeking a VP of Retail for the East Coast who will report to the CEO of the Americas, as part of our dynamic team in our New York corporate office.

    Your opportunity

    As VP of Retail, you will be responsible for the overall direction of multi-store operations and driving Retail Performance. In partnership with the CEO, you will establish retail operational and performance priorities and ensure goals are met. You will be responsible for creating a culture of continuous improvement within our retail organization, acting as the project lead for retail projects that will improve the overall business and store operations for the Americas. You will play a key role in ensuring policies and procedures are enforced.

    How you will contribute

    Sales Strategy & Targets

    • Manage and coach store managers within the East Coast retail network as well as the Southeast Market Director, to ensure sales targets set by the Company are exceeded. Ensure that a strong client base is being built and maintained.
    • Organize reporting figures for the network of stores including weekly sales, delivery reports and sell through.
    • Analyze sales figures including; sales by sq ft, sales by associate, retention, conversion, sales per transaction and traffic reports. Use this information to develop immediate & long term plans.
    • Devise and execute strategies for sales generation in order to meet and exceed annual targets.
    • Maintain awareness of luxury market trends and monitor local competition. Initiating changes to improve the business, i.e.; revising store hours to ensure stores compete effectively in the local  market & markdown  planning.
    • Building relationships with local and VIP clients; works closely with the local and international teams within Communications and Retail Experience
    • Work with Human Resources to design sales incentive compensation programs that provide market-competitive pay, reinforce sales organization strategy, and align with business and sales organization objectives.
    • Leads change management process to build organizational understanding of proposed changes, establish support from key leaders, and effectively implement new job models.

    Store Standards and Customer Care

    • Showcase exemplary customer service and resolve customer situations diplomatically when they are escalated to you.
    • Frequently visit the stores to ensure high standards are being met and a good relationship with managers and store teams are maintained.

    Personnel Management

    • As the key member of the management team you must lead and motivate staff by being a role model and setting an exceptional example to your teams.
    • Provide coaching in relation to performance concerns and seek advice from the local HR team where necessary. Where concerns need to be raised formally, work with HR to ensure the Company's obligations are met to make sure a fair and consistent processed is followed.
    • Chair weekly/monthly conference with CEO & SMs to review weekly trade, address any problems & create/ implement plans.
    • Taking ownership of the recruitment process, seeking authorization to recruit, sourcing candidates and  conducting interviews.
    • To carry out yearly appraisals for store managers, following the Company's procedure and providing constructive and comprehensive feedback, as well as setting individual objectives for development.
    • To have an understanding of your staff's training needs and to liaise with the Retail Experience and HR Departments to develop ways to implement your training needs.
    • Regularly update staff on business performance and new initiatives.
    • Develop and convert into practical application, the knowledge and skills related to techniques, processes, laws, procedures, policies, equipment and products necessary to do the job effectively and efficiently.

    Who you are

    • Bachelors Degree
    • Minimum 12 years of retail management and multi-store management experience, preferably in the luxury market.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a goal-driven and fast pace environment including achieving and exceeding financial targets.
    • Exhibit a strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy level, and detail/team oriented.
    • Previous experience of a similar role where they have managed a team and been required to prioritize and multi-task various and competing demands.
    • A good communicator with the ability to interface regularly with internal and external personnel at all levels.
    • Possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of Italian language is a plus.
    • Capable to travel domestically and internationally frequently and as needed.
    • Ability to work flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed to support retail store hours and events.  

    Salary Range- New York:

    • Base salary range of $180,000-$200,000 (plus discretionary bonus)
