    DODO Technical Design & 3D Product Development Specialist (Maternity Leave)

    We are looking for a Technical Design & 3D Product Development Specialist (Maternity Leave) to join our team.


    Role Purpose


    The Technical Design & Product Development Specialist supports the technical development of jewelry collections from concept to production.

    You will contribute to Product Development, Technical Office and Industrialization activities by creating and maintaining technical documentation, developing technical solutions, managing product data, supporting prototype validation and ensuring the successful industrialization of new products. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate creative concepts into technically feasible and manufacturable jewelry while ensuring quality, industrial feasibility and compliance with company standards.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Develop 3D CAD models for new products and design modifications when required.

    • Translate creative concepts into technical solutions suitable for industrial production.

    • Create and update technical drawings, product specifications, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation.

    • Support prototype development, sampling, testing and validation activities, including resin 3D printing and laser machine operation.

    • Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Industrialization, Quality and Production teams throughout the development process.

    • Interface with external suppliers, model makers and manufacturers for technical matters related to product development and industrialization.

    • Perform technical feasibility assessments and support the implementation of product improvements.

    • Contribute to the industrialization of new products, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with quality standards.

    • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of technical data within PLM and company systems.

    • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to product development, industrialization and production.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within product development and technical processes.

    Profile & Requirements


    Experience


    • 3-5 years of experience in Product Development, Technical Office, Industrialization or Technical Design roles, preferably within the jewelry, luxury or fashion accessories industry.


    Technical Expertise


    • Strong knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes, including prototyping, casting, assembly, finishing and industrialization activities.

    • Ability to read and create technical drawings and product specifications.

    • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques relevant to jewelry development.


    Digital Skills


    • Experience with CAD software, PLM systems and technical documentation management.

    • Strong knowledge of Rhinoceros. Additional CAD, 3D modeling or rendering software is considered a plus.

    • Experience with resin prototyping machines and 3D printing technologies is considered a plus.


    Mindset

    • Strong technical and operational approach, with attention to detail and product quality.

    • Ability to evaluate technical feasibility and support product optimization activities.

    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.


    Languages

    • Fluent Italian and English.
