SAINT LAURENT Data Reliability & Governance Intern

Saint Laurent - Student (Fixed Term) (Trainee)
    Paris - France

Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first fashion house to introduce the concept of luxury ready-to-wear with the creation of the 'Rive Gauche' line in 1966, synonymous of youth and freedom. This change represented a crucial first step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury division of the Kering Group acquired the house of Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position it at the top of the luxury universe. Today, the Saint Laurent collections include women's and men's ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, small leather goods, jewellery, scarves, ties and eyewear.

    ROLE

As a Data Reliability & Governance Intern, you will join the Saint Laurent Data team (20+ data experts) and contribute to improving the reliability, transparency, and operational excellence of our data platform. You will work at the intersection of data governance, data quality, and operational processes to ensure that our analytical data products remain trustworthy, well-documented, and properly maintained.

    MISSION

    1. Data Catalog & Documentation

Improve the documentation of our data assets within the company data catalog. This includes describing datasets, tables, fields, and KPIs to make them understandable and reusable for business and technical users. You will collaborate with data engineers and product managers to ensure that metadata is accurate, complete, and aligned with governance standards.

    2. Data Quality & Preventive Maintenance

Contribute to strengthening the reliability of our data products by defining and implementing a structured data quality testing strategy. You will help design and deploy automated tests to detect anomalies, schema drifts, missing data, or inconsistencies. The objective is to establish preventive monitoring practices that reduce incidents and improve long-term data platform stability.

    3. Incident Management Process

Support the data team in enforcing the data incident management process. You will help ensure that incidents affecting data pipelines or dashboards are properly tracked, documented, and resolved according to defined procedures. You will also contribute to improving documentation and feedback loops to prevent recurrence.

    COLLABORATION

You will work closely with data engineers, data product managers, and analytics teams. This role offers exposure to real-world data platform operations, governance practices, and large-scale analytics environments within an international luxury company.
