    QEELIN Retail Operations & Business Development Manager

    Your Opportunity This role is responsible for leading Retail Operations and Business Development in Japan, driving both commercial performance and network expansion in alignment with the brand’s strategic ambition. The position will oversee end-to-end retail performance, P&L ownership, and market growth, while acting as a key representative of Qeelin in the Japan market.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Retail Performance & P&L Management

    • Drive overall retail sales performance and profitability across Japan
    • Own and manage Japan market P&L, optimizing revenue, cost efficiency, and operational performance
    • Set and monitor KPIs (sales, productivity, cost control, LFL growth)
    • Analyze sales trends and performance drivers, implementing actionable improvement plans
    • Ensure alignment with brand standards and execution excellence across stores

    2. Business Development & Network Expansion

    • Lead market expansion strategy, identifying and securing new retail opportunities in Japan
    • Conduct feasibility studies and define market entry/penetration plans
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key landlords, department stores, and real estate partners
    • Lead lease negotiations and secure favorable commercial terms

    3. Retail Operations Excellence

    • Oversee daily retail operations ensuring best-in-class execution and customer experience
    • Optimize store SOPs, processes, and operational efficiency
    • Manage inventory, merchandising flow, and stock availability
    • Monitor store costs and drive cost efficiency initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with brand standards and operational guidelines

    4. Client Development & Brand Representation

    • Elevate client experience in line with luxury standards
    • Develop and leverage VIP / gaisho networks and local partnerships
    • Expand client base through events, partnerships, and community engagement
    • Act as a key ambassador of Qeelin in Japan

    5. Team Leadership

    • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing retail team
    • Set clear performance objectives and coach teams to achieve results
    • Foster a culture of accountability, entrepreneurship, and excellence

    6. Market Intelligence & Strategy

    • Monitor market trends, competitor landscape, and customer insights
    • Translate insights into actionable commercial strategies
    • Collaborate closely with HQ and regional stakeholders

    Ideal Profile

    • Bachelor’s degree or above
    • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in luxury retail management (Japan market)
    • Strong track record in retail operations + business development / expansion
    • Solid network with department stores and luxury retail ecosystem in Japan(百貨店・外商ネットワーク)
    • Proven experience in P&L management and driving business growth
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen
