    Role Mission

    The Financial Controller for Mexico & Caribbean serves as the financial backbone of Gucci’s operations across the designated region. Reporting directly to the CFO of Latin America, the successful candidate is a finance professional who thrives in complexity and operates with rigor and strategic influence, managing financial reporting across three distinct markets while navigating a dynamic, fast-paced Group environment and serves as a reliable business partner.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Lead the full month-end and year-end close process for Mexico, Aruba, and Panama, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies and standards.
    • Deliver P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting with full narrative analysis of key variances against budget and prior year.
    • Own the submission of financial data into Hyperion/Oracle HFM within Group-mandated deadlines, ensuring data quality and completeness.
    • Coordinate the annual budget and periodic reforecast cycles for the perimeter, ensuring alignment with Latin America and Group timelines.
    • Develop scenario analysis and ad hoc financial models to support business decisions, including new store openings, Capex investments, and inventory purchasing.
    • Ensure full compliance with local statutory requirements, tax obligations, and Group policies across Mexico, Aruba, and Panama.
    • Function as the main interface with Shared Services partners, ensuring the quality and timeliness of information flows while building collaborative, trusted relationships.
    • Serve as the key liaison with Group headquarters in Italy, the Americas Finance team in the US, and local market leadership.

    Key Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Financial Controlling or Accounting within a multinational environment, with clear exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency perimeters.
    • Demonstrated experience working with Shared Service Centre models, where transactional accounting is managed by a third-party or centralized function.
    • Experience in luxury retail, consumer goods, or a similarly complex, deadline-driven Group environment is preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modelling, VBA/macros) this is a hands-on, systems-light environment.
    • Working knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) / Oracle EPM required; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
    • Solid understanding of IFRS; knowledge of local GAAP for Mexico, Panama, and/or Aruba is a plus.
    • Spanish: native or full professional proficiency (required).
    • English: full professional proficiency (required) — used for Group reporting and communication with Italy and the US.
    • Italian or Portuguese: a meaningful advantage given the reporting structure.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Exceptional ability to work under pressure and deliver to hard deadlines without compromise on accuracy.
    • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills — comfortable operating in a matrix structure across multiple geographies and cultures.
    • Highly autonomous and self-directed; capable of structuring ambiguous situations and driving them to resolution independently.
    • Detail-oriented and analytically rigorous, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear executive-level narratives.
    • Collaborative and proactive in building relationships, particularly with Shared Services teams who control key data flows.
    • Availability to travel internationally — Italy, Brazil, and the US — as required by the Group calendar.
