    GUCCI Manager, Inventory Planning - Outlet

    Role Mission

    The Inventory Planning Manager for Outlets is responsible for the analyzing and forecasting through strategic sales planning, inventory management, and actionable reporting and insights for the Outlet locations. This position will work closely with Regional and WW teams across Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance to set and ensure sales targets are achieved.

    This role owns and drives category-specific distribution planning, stock rebalancing, and reverse logistics to support the full potential of stock life cycle. Activities include demand planning and replenishment through closely monitoring sales. This role works across Americas Merchandising Team, Supply Chain, Operations, and global Planning teams, to maximize product ownership from the initial planning stages, through in-season actions, to total stock exits.

    Key Accountabilities

    Strategy and Distribution

    • Support Director of Merchandising & Inventory Planning to develop and enhance planning processes and reporting;
    • Monitor individual store’s sales and inventory levels to ensure optimal in store’s assortment and take necessary action to maximize push sell through;
    • Support the build out of annual store plans by store and category;
    • Measure performance against plan and share weekly and monthly hindsight to leadership and store teams;
    • Consistently deliver ad hoc actionable analysis from top line to store & category level;
    • Clearly communicate to all cross-functional teams the financial objectives, action plans, opportunities, learning and liabilities of the business to enable strategic decision making;
    • Drive stock deployment at launch and coordinate the distribution to the stores through auto-replenishment;
    • Ensure regional and global stock strategy of weeks of coverage (WOC) and increase sell-throughs, hit seasonal targets through a tailored by market approach;
    • Evolve processes and tools defined with the supply chain and show initiative to create new strategies and processes for constant cross-category optimization;
    • Plan and supervise stock release for new store openings and special capsules/caravans.

    In-Season Planning

    • Review the forecast initiated by central team, in collaboration with regional Business Planning and Finance;
    • Build out sales and receipt plan by store to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained, particularly during peak season;
    • Partner with WW Teams regularly to procure needed stock (by category) to drive sales ambition;
    • Define business strategy of the categories, reporting and sales recaps, competitive market analysis, and allocation/distribution of goods in accordance with company strategic business plans;
    • Build strong relations with the retail network and regularly review store business plan to ensure it supports forecasted needs.

    Replenishment and Stock Management

    • Create stock allocation strategies and propose systemic solutions based on historic sales, seasonal potential, while considering WOC and front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) considerations;
    • Develop replenishment process for category to determine efficiency opportunities;
    • Suggest and execute stock movements and transfers based on results;
    • Liaise closely with Operations team and Supply Chain team to monitor stock building and shipping progress for timely in store deliveries;
    • Communicate and partner closely with Retail teams and leadership on client needs and day to day inquiries;
    • Monitor stock levels across different warehouse locations to ensure Outlet sellable styles are in correct warehouse for allocation.

    Key Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree, business, analytics, merchandising, or related field, MS, or MBA highly desirable;
    • 1-2 years’ experience in Demand Planning, Production Planning, Assortment Planning, or Analytics with deep analytical and financial analysis;
    • High proficiency of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and/or SAP;
    • Experience with size analysis and category preferred;
    • Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple priorities, work independently, take initiative, and pay close attention to detail;
    • Collaborative and exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills;
    • Entrepreneurial and results oriented;
    • Strong work ethic, team spirit and self-motivated;
    • Maintain effective business relationships and influence cross-functional leaders;

    Salary Range – New York 

     For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, GUCCI includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.   

    A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $100,000 to $110,000.
