    About us

    Founded by Spanish-born Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1917 and established in Paris in 1937, the original House of Balenciaga defined modern couture with its many innovations to form and technique. Today it continues to uphold the vision of the House through boundary-pushing collections including women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and objects d’art. The brand’s unprecedented interactions with the expanding digital realm, material developments, and today’s social responsibilities keep it at the forefront of modernity.

    In 2021, Balenciaga’s 50th Couture collection—the House’s first since its founder retired in 1968 – reintroduces a standard of cutting-edge elegance.  From October 2015 to July 2025, Demna designed both men’s and women’s collections as the Artistic Director. In July 2025, Pierpaolo Piccioli was appointed Creative Director of Balenciaga.

    We are currently seeking a Department Manager who will report to the Store Manager.

    Your opportunity

    You will oversee and be responsible for implementing a clienteling mindset among your team in order to guarantee the quantitative and qualitative goals.  You will behave as a brand ambassador and a proactive sales professional, operate according to the goals and processes fixed by the Store and Associate Store Director.

    How you will contribute

    • Implement action plans defined with the Store director and ensure follow-up
    • Communicate high quality relevant feedback and act as a bridge between Store Director and Store team
    • Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment
    • Identify and develop the strengths of each store team member, supporting professional growth through training and coaching approach
    • Ensure Balenciaga Signature and Client experience are executed and consistent over time
    • Ensure that all the processes are in compliance with legal, safety, internal requirements,
    • sustainability, HR and stock organization

    Who you are

    • Proven successful experience on selling and managing sales teams
    • Inclusive leadership style and excellent organizational skills
    • Adaptability, persuasiveness, risk-taking & dynamic
    • High sensitivity to clients’ experiences and loyalty
    • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
    • Good PC skills such as MS Office and other digital tools
