Alexander McQueen is in search of an Assistant to support the WW Communications & Special Projects Director.
Your Opportunity
The successful candidate will gain all-round experience working within a fast paced in-house international press team, providing first line support for the day-to-day management of press interests, media enquiries, internal and external meetings, team support and a liaison with external consultants and the in-house teams. With excellent communication, writing and organizational skills, you will be able to think fast, demonstrating a flexible and agile approach to work; acting as a brand ambassador at all times.
How you will contribute:
Provide diary management, travel assistance and administrative support to the WW Communications & Special Projects Director
Work closely with the PR Managers and WW Communications & Special Projects Director to provide first line support to the press office in a timely and effective manner
Work with internal teams (including E-Commerce and CRM) for copy approval
Draft press releases working closely with external consultants as required – tracking changes throughout on Word and securing sign-off / approvals
Responsible for assisting in the onboarding of new Press team members
Assist with supporting the sample team for ad-hoc activities
Assist the team at events
Assist in the accurate maintenance of press office databases, filing systems and internet pages
Provide day to day administrative support for the press team, including collating press cuttings and monitoring press coverage
Compile weekly coverage reports for CEO, CMO and Creative Director
Maintain and nurture press relations on behalf of Alexander McQueen
Compiling monthly ranking reports for global regions
Your skills and experience:
Previous experience working within a Press environment for a Fashion brand essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships – both internal and external
Excellent English writing skills with comprehensive knowledge of Word and Powerpoint to prepare communications
Ability to work with initiative and independence with set guidelines
Motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude to problems
Excellent attention to detail, in a pressurised and time sensitive environment
Team player and considerate of colleagues
Knowledge of sample movements/ management advantageous
Pleasant disposition, professional and discrete
Educated to degree level in a related field desirable
Spoken and written Italian and/or French helpful but not essential
