Kering publishes its eighth suite of Standards: The Group’s framework for sustainable production and practices

Kering reaches a new milestone with the publication of the eighth set of Standards for Raw Materials and Manufacturing Processes.

First introduced in 2018, the Standards have continuously evolved to support the Group’s pursuit to set new benchmarks for sustainable production and practices, and to push further what can be achieved. This new edition reflects the progress made to date while setting the course ahead, as the Group now moves beyond the 2025 targets defined in previous editions and enters a new phase of its sustainability strategy.

This trajectory was recently reaffirmed during the Capital Markets Day, where Kering CEO Luca de Meo highlighted the Group’s ambition to pioneer sustainability standards beyond its industry and to embed sustainability in every decision, across the value chain. He also positioned alignment with the Kering Standards as a key performance indicator, underlining their central role in driving both performance and transformation.

Looking beyond 2025, this eighth edition is more action-oriented, with a stronger operational focus and expanded scope. The Standards are now applied more consistently across all activities, including Kering Eyewear, reinforcing coherence in responsible practices throughout the value chain.

The new Standards further strengthen the link between ambition and execution by deepening alignment with the Group’s strategic targets (such as incorporating 20% regenerative materials in ready-to-wear by 2035) and the Environmental Profit & Loss (EP&L) framework. They translate sourcing and manufacturing decisions into tangible, measurable reductions in environmental impact, including greenhouse gas emissions, water use and land use.

By placing operational excellence at the core of its approach, Kering affirms its commitment to balancing creative excellence with the respect of planetary boundaries. Faithful to its culture of transparency and collaboration, the Group publishes these Standards in an open-source format to foster collective progress across the industry.
