Position Summary We are seeking a proactive and hands-on AI & LLM Engineer to join our newly established in-house development team within Tech & Digital Greater China. This role is critical in building and scaling Kering China’s enterprise AI capabilities, including AI Agents and Knowledge Base solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade LLM applications while progressively taking over AI solutions previously developed by external vendors. The ideal candidate is an AI-native engineer who is comfortable working with the latest LLM technologies and is passionate about building internal capabilities to reduce long-term dependency on external vendors.

    How You Will Contribute

    AI Agent Development & Orchestration

    • Design and build autonomous, multi-step AI Agents using Python, Dify, and LLM API integrations to support business use cases across Greater China.
    • Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to deliver accurate, context-aware responses for enterprise Knowledge Base applications.
    • Continuously improve agent performance through prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and iterative testing.

    In-house AI Capability Building

    • Take ownership of AI applications initially developed by external vendors, including maintenance, optimization, and long-term iteration.
    • Collaborate closely with the in-house development squad to establish standardized AI development practices aligned with Kering China’s AI Excellence Framework.
    • Drive the adoption of AI-native development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve development velocity and code quality.

    Cross-functional Collaboration & Governance

    • Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical AI solutions while ensuring compliance with security, data governance, and architectural standards.
    • Support the transition from vendor-led projects to sustainable in-house operations, contributing to long-term cost optimization.

    Who You Are

    Experience & Technical Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on LLM / Generative AI projects.
    • Strong hands-on experience in building RAG systems, AI Agents, or LLM applications using Python and modern frameworks (e.g., Dify, OpenAI Agents SDK).
    • Solid understanding of LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and vector databases.
    • Experience taking over or maintaining vendor-developed AI solutions is a strong advantage.
    • Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, security, and compliance requirements is preferred.
    • Good command of English; Mandarin is required.

    Personal Attributes

    • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-evolving environment.
    • Practical and delivery-oriented, with a focus on building production-ready AI solutions rather than only prototyping.
    • Collaborative team player who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Eager to stay at the forefront of AI technology and continuously improve internal capabilities.
