GUCCI Security Manager (m/f/d)

The key purpose of this role is to positively inspire the multiple Retail and Corporate stakeholders to implement and continuously evolve the EMEA Security strategy. The Security Manager will report directly to the EMEA Head of Security and will collaborate with the General Manager Central Europe and the Hub management, will be responsible to identify and assess the key risks, determine the risk exposure, or potential liability, develop and implement risk control programs to protect the company's Customers, Associates, and assets for the assigned area. He/she will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for customers and employees by establishing, enforcing and constantly improving security policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor the Security Risk (internal and external) in assigned countries, report to the EMEA Head of Security and the GM, assess potential consequences and suggest mitigations
  • Develop a plan to monitor protests and any other external activities that could impact the assets, the staff and continuity of the business
  • Develop a plan to monitor the key security risks trend in the area of responsibility
  • Ensure regular presence in the Stores and at the Milan HQ according to the needs and requests 
  • Crisis Management: as member of the Crisis Management network, ensure collection of information from the field about main incidents, conduct a preliminary evaluation of potential impact, discuss with the local GM and the Regional Security Management
  • Incident management (response and effects mitigation, field survey and analysis of the incident, SIRT Reporting, root-cause analysis, investigation & lessons learned identification)
  • Conduct investigation in cooperation with HR, Legal in agreement with Regional Security Management. Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to different Incidents (Example: Theft, Fraud, Critical, Product reselling) including any process Improvement opportunity
  • Security vendor supervision (Technology, Security Guards, Doormen, Cash Collection and others): ensure quality of the Store Security services in cooperation with Retail, Procurement, the Regional Security and the Legal Department. Ensure continuous benchmark among potential suppliers. Support Retail and the Regional Security Team, acting as subject matter expert, to define the best, cost-effective technical solutions for protection of the Gucci assets in the areas of responsibility. Bring innovation and new ideas to protect the people and the assets
  • Trainings plan development and implementation: work with the Regional and Local Training teams to define training opportunities to increase the Security and Retail Staff awareness about the key security risks and procedures
  • Executive Protection support, on request
  • Event security planning and management on request
  • Act as subject matter expert for all Retail project requiring a Security evaluation (work in close cooperation with Store Planning, Operations and the Facility Teams)
  • Support the EMEA Head of Security on Regional Loss Prevention cases to implement the strategy, monitor and investigate anomalies and “drive” the evolution of the Security Culture

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience of 5/8 years in Retail Management, Internal Audit & Compliance and Security experience
  • Knowledge of Store Operations including Inventory, stock control, till operations, Sales ideally gained in a Luxury/ Retail business environment
  • Auditing, Compliance and/ or Quality management qualifications would be beneficial 
  • Understanding of risk management and risk assessment principles is required
  • Fluent German and English language knowledge. Italian, French, Arabic, German, Russian, Chinese knowledge would be a plus
  • Health & Safety qualifications would be appreciated
  • IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) to facilitate effective communication and reporting
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new roles according to the Company requirements
  • Strong personal integrity with an ability to make clear independent judgments and reports without fear of influence or persuasion. Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Interpersonal and influencing skills, able to develop and maintain strong working relationships, both with auditees, colleagues and Senior Management
  • Confident self-starter able to manage his time and own workload with the minimum of supervision
  • Ability to work as a highly effective team player, able to work on the field, collaborate and lead on assessments, investigations and projects
  • Robust, determined, inquisitive, analytical nature with a willingness to go the extra mile to resolve issues
  • Ability to work with standard programs and KPIs
  • Potential to lead multicultural and remotely located Teams 
  • Ability to provide support and training as required by Store Managers and Area Managers through tailored workshops or individual training sessions as required.
  • Ability to cope with, and resolve, conflicts
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills
  • Demonstrates a can-do attitude to deliver results and improvements
  • Availability to travel extensively and to stay overnight away from home
