    Your opportunity

    You will be Kering Ambassador in Japan and leading Kering Japan media across Strategy, Group Negotiations & Implementation with a strong focus on Digital, Data and Innovation as well as Media Efficiency Improvement.

    The position is based in Tokyo and would report to the APAC Media Director, and work along closely with several key stakeholders:

    - Kering APAC media team (China, Korea, SEAP)

    - Kering Global Marketing & Media team based in Paris

    - Kering Brands Marketing & Media team (Mainly Local teams / HQ on occasion)

    - Media agency partner (Local/ HQ )

    - Local Media partners

    You will be an expert to provide guidance and advice on all topics related to Kering brands media activities, across all media types within specific Japan ecosystem. Working closely with the global media agency partner of the group, you will support Kering media vision across key priorities: media partners relationship, group negotiations, media efficiency, agency relationship and Kering media community etc.  
     

    How you will contribute

    Media Strategy, Planning
    • Develop and execute tailored media strategies aligned with each brand’s business size, maturity, and market scale.
    • Drive and implement the digital roadmap, establishing a data-driven marketing strategy across the full funnel (including Attribution/Contribution and 1st/2nd party data activation).

    Agency Management & Operations

    • Manage media agency collaboration post-RFP (including onboarding & transition if any, monitoring of agency service & relationship with brands, new AI tools implementation and monitoring of data regular update & accuracy, competitive SOV reporting, strategic recommendations, media plans)
    • Oversee day-to-day agency operations, ensuring a robust structure, high-quality service delivery, and adherence to all processes and templates.
    • Rigorously evaluate agency performance to challenge the status quo and continuously improve ROI.
    • Track and report on media performance and best practices using available tools; consolidate media budgets for the group, brands, and key partners.
    • Ensure transparency and accuracy in media plan management systems (e.g., Dentsu Connect).

    Marketing Efficiency & Effectiveness

    • Lead group-level media negotiations to drive incremental efficiency, across all media partners including Line, Yahoo, OOH, and Print media.
    • Lead the local execution of global media projects, ensuring strict alignment with both brand-specific and corporate goals.
    • Proactively explore innovative media opportunities with key partners to maximize visibility and engagement.

    Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
    • Build and animate Kering media community with key stakeholders and leading local media days, workshops and regular best practices sharing

    • Build & foster solid collaboration & trustful relationships with key stakeholders in Japan including Kering Brands local teams, media agency, and media partners.
    • Cultivate strong cross-entity collaboration across agency digital teams (regional/local), media partners, and internal brand media / e-commerce teams, ensuring adherence to Kering WW Media & Performance Marketing guidelines.
    • Provide timely support and coordination for inquiries from local brands, Brand HQ, Kering Japan, and Group HQ.

    Market Intelligence
    • Stay on top of market / industry trends and provide timely & regular updates on key competitors’ activations in Japan.

    • Share key market insights and monitoring key trends with the support of the media agency (competitors, media etc)

    Who you are

    Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or above with 10+ years of digital media experience (offline experience is a plus) on the advertiser and/or agency side. Strong relationships with core digital vendors (e.g., LINE) are highly preferred.

    Market & Language: Experience in multinational corporations (MNCs), fluent in English and Japanese, with deep media knowledge of the Japanese market.

    Data & Tech Skills: Data-driven and results-oriented with strong analytical skills. Proficient in media/digital tools, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

    Agility & Innovation: Agile and self-motivated, with a passion for driving new initiatives. Able to navigate ambiguous situations and adapt to changes to support business goals.

    Strategic & Operational Excellence: Analytical mindset with the ability to see the big picture. Capable of providing innovative guidance while maintaining impeccable operations and staying ahead of industry trends. Project Management: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.

    Professionalism & Drive: Enthusiastic, committed, and able to work autonomously. Always represent Kering in a positive and professional manner, both internally and externally.
