Reporting to the Regulatory, Compliance & Privacy Director, the Legal Counsel supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the Company's data protection and compliance framework, ensuring the alignment to the applicable regulations and internal policies.
The role focuses on providing legal and operational support on data protection and compliance matters related to employees, clients, and third parties, while partnering with business functions to integrate privacy and compliance requirements into projects, systems, contracts, and business processes, including the management of Data Subject Requests (DSRs).
Key Responsibilities
Privacy & Compliance Legal Advisory
- Provide legal guidance on data protection and compliance matters, ensuring alignment to with the applicable regulations and the Compliance program.
- Support business functions in identifying privacy and compliance implications arising from new initiatives, technologies, and operational projects.
- Review and negotiate privacy and compliance-related contractual provisions.

Risk Assessment & Governance
- Conduct and maintain Data Protection assessments (DPIAs, LIAs, DTAs, AI) and ROPA.
- Conduct and maintain compliance risk assessment (e.g. AML, Anti-corruption, Law 231/2001).
- Analyze activities and flows to ensure regulatory and privacy compliance and appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Analyze Third party Due diligence and screenings.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries when required.
Data Subject Rights & Regulatory Requests
- Coordinate and manage Data Subject Requests (DSRs) from employees, clients, and third parties and public authorities requests.
Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Retail, Finance, HR, Procurement, Client Data, Client Service, Gucci Tech and other business functions to ensure privacy and compliance across operations.
- Liaise with Kering Privacy and Compliance teams, Data Protection Officers, Local Compliance Officers and external advisors on privacy and compliance-related initiatives and projects.
- Support awareness and training initiatives aimed at strengthening compliance and data protection culture within the organization.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Law (qualification as a Lawyer is considered a plus).
- Interest and motivation to further develop expertise in compliance and data protection matters. Experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, or regulatory matters, either in-house or within a law firm will be considered as a plus.
- Ability to manage high operational workloads and multiple priorities
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, corporate systems and databases (e.g., internal tools, CRM platforms)
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and risk assessment capabilities.
Salary Package
- Gross Annual Salary: Starting from 35.000 € (unless otherwise agreed, in the event of a positive outcome of the selection process, should specific levels of experience and autonomy and/or particular competencies emerge during the selection process, based on objective criteria).
- NCBA (National Collective Bargaining Agreement): CCNL Industria Pelli e Succedanei (unique alphanumeric code: D111)
- Bonuses and Commissions: Annual Target Bonus as per the company-level collective agreement in force, up to 20% of the Gross Annual Salary.
