ROLE
This position is based in the Hong Kong Saint Laurent office, directly reporting to APAC CFO and responsible for all financial and business performance aspects across APAC region. This role will work in close cooperation with market leaders and regional department and liaise with the group financial consolidation team in headquarter.
MISSION
Business Performance
Finance:
- Prepare the sales reporting and provide analysis on store performance, liaising with countries. Prepare and analyze the weekly group benchmark
- Prepare and review the commercial targets for the markets. Follow the monthly achievement of targets
- Prepare and analyze product life cycle and simulate the markdown liabilities
- Support the monthly closing process with local team to check the consistency of their monthly reporting packages (sales, margin, capex)
- Prepare the support for the Monthly Business review with Headquarter
- Track the capex with the regional store planning department
- Work with the regional business development manager and the local finance team to review financial simulation of the projects
- Issue monthly management reports and provide summary and detailed financial analysis and insightful comments for various stakeholders
Merchandising:
- Create SKUs’ efficiency tracker at store / category level for APAC
- Follow the stock evolution in the region
- Work with planning and merchandising teams analyzing the above data to review number of SKUs’ needed at store level
- Build supporting dashboard supporting SKUs’ efficiency and provide guidelines before each buying session
- Follow the performance of outlet sales (level of inventory, sell thru, promotion activities)
Client Engagement:
- Setting up dashboard for weekly and monthly CRM KPIs
- Reviewing current dashboard / reports APAC team is preparing for retail team if format needs to be improved further, etc.
Budget & Forecast cycles
- Support the CFO on the budget cycles and coordinate with countries / departments for the Budget & Forecast process
- Prepare the presentation of the Budget meeting with qualitative insights on the scenario
Ad Hoc Duties
- Support other Department Heads during the budget / forecast process and the follow up of their expenses and capex
- Prepare analysis when specific focus needed
- Train & support newcomers in countries when necessary
PROFILE
- CAP / Degree in accounting, finance or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of finance, controlling and accounting experience
- Prior experience with retail MNC preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong business sense and ability to dig deep to understand the business performance drivers
- Outstanding inter-personal and communication skills
- Hands-on and self-motivated
- Resilience under pressure and adaptive to changes
- Proficient Excel skills
- Good knowledge of Power BI, prior experience with Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP or similar ERP systems is a definite advantage
- Excellent level of the English language, Mandarin or French would be a plus
