We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant who will report to the Head of Finance UK, Nordics & Benelux, as part of our dynamic team in London. This is a 12 month fixed term maternity cover role.
Your opportunity
The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance team for the daily accounts payable function.
How you will contribute
Actively manage debtor balances, whilst keeping finance systems (SAP) up to date at all times.
Following up payment of customer invoices (current and aged) and preparing weekly debtor reports.
Conduct credit checks on all customers, establish and manage limits.
Reviewing the department finance inbox, ensuring all queries are cleared regularly.
Ensure that all vendor invoices are properly recorded, matched with purchase orders, entered correctly in SAP and processed for payment.
Prepare cash flow report on regularly basis
Assist the finance team during in month end and year end closing process
Assist stock controller to manage the stock count and return process
Collaborate with the team to prepare payment runs for suppliers
Assisting with the year end audit work
Ensuring appropriate systems of internal control are maintained and development of and adherence to company procedures
Support daily accounting duty and perform ad hoc assignment from time to time as required
Who you are
SAP experience preferred but not essential
University degree, accounting preferable
Previous experience in the role
Good interpersonal skills
Highly motivated team player with a positive attitude
Strong Excel skills
Organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work under tight deadlines, in a growing environment
