We are currently seeking a Senior Planning Manager who will report to the Senior Vice-President of Merchandising & Wholesale, as part of our dynamic team in New York.
The Senior Planning Manager will be responsible for driving an optimal merchandising & inventory control management across various channel (Direct Operating Stores, Outlets and Wholesale) aligned with the brand sales strategy and with financial objectives.
How you will contribute:
Strategic Insights
- Partner with the SVP of Merchandising & Wholesale to shape Americas merchandising and wholesale strategies by analyzing product performance and key trends (sales, margin, sell-through, and inventory levels) to maximize profitability and achieve the brand’s sales objectives.
- Ensure regional demand is supported by appropriate inventory levels and provide actionable insights that enable effective business decisions.
- Identify and communicate potential business risks and opportunities based on historical data, market dynamics, product performance, and the brand’s strategy and business plans.
Analytics & Reporting
- Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tools that deliver relevant analytics and actionable insights, providing stakeholders and store teams with a clear understanding of business performance.
- Lead replenishment reporting and monthly forecasting to ensure each account maintains appropriate inventory levels.
- Define, validate, and monitor Open-to-Buy budgets throughout the season in accordance with company guidelines.
- Optimize Never-Out-Of-Stock inventory depth.
Cross-functional partnerships
- Partner with Regional Merchandising Managers and Account Executives throughout the season to execute regional plans and optimize inventory across all channels (DOS, outlets, and wholesale accounts).
- Collaborate with Finance and Inventory Control teams to align sales forecasts, inventory investments, and Open-to-Buy budgets with financial targets and inventory objectives.
- Develop strong partnership with HQ partners to maximize product opportunity.
- Consolidate business information from local and global departments to guide and challenge strategic decisions throughout the product lifecycle, from collection planning and Open-to-Buy to pre-season, in-season, and markdown management.
- Manage and develop one Merchandise Planner, providing clear direction, ongoing coaching, and support to ensure strong individual and business performance.
Who you are:
- Minimum of 8 years' work experience in merchandising/buying, financial inventory control, demand planning in luxury retail
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- Experience in using analytical tools/system
- Strong analytical skills and numerical sense with excellent excel application skills and attention to details
- Strong communication, leadership and management skills with ability to collaborate with many stakeholders from different departments and regions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, collaborative, embracing changes with problem solving attitude
- Experience in store is a plus
New York Salary Range:
Annual base salary range of $125,000 - $135,000 (plus discretionary bonus)
