Role Mission
The Senior Manager, Business Strategy will collaborate closely with department leaders across the organization to help drive growth across all channels. Acting in part as an “in-house consultant”, this individual will manage cross-functional projects to bring synergy and efficiency to key corporate initiatives. The individual will bring strong project management skills, a deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and market trends, and an innovative approach to business performance analysis from which enhanced strategic actions can be taken.
Key Accountabilities
- Drive the implementation of business strategies and action plans across all channels – in close collaboration with executive team and business unit leaders;
- Partner with business units or functions on strategic projects to accelerate the business performance of Gucci;
- Lead competitive intelligence and deep dive analysis into market and competitive developments or consumer behaviors as well as knowledge and analysis of significant current industry events as they happen in real-time;
- Play a key role in the evolution of the Brand Distribution Strategy, maintaining a strong focus on the Store Projects plan & Real Estate portfolio;
- Support key activities and deliverables within the multi-year strategic planning;
- Support the preparation of Business Reviews and Leadership Team presentations.
Key Requirements
- A BA in Business, Finance, Economics or otherwise with an analytical focus;
- MBA or experience in a management consulting firm a plus;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical, strategic role, with minimum 2 years at a top-tier, ideally global, organization;
- Strong project management skills;
- The ability to prioritize, multitask and handle multiple requests with multiple degrees of priority simultaneously;
- Attention to detail and the capacity to thrive under pressure;
- Great people skills, capacity to effectively interact with peers and superiors of different backgrounds;
- Ability to work effectively in a team, developing a respectful and pleasant, yet committed and efficient environment;
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and work ethic;
- Experience working in a fast paced, very dynamic environment;
- Display of business creativity;
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills;
- Knowledge of retail and CRM metrics;
- Experience with MicroStrategy a plus, but not required.
