Role Mission
As a key member of the global indirect procurement leadership team, the Director of Indirect Procurement Americas serves as the regional procurement lead and strategic business partner for the Americas.
The role acts as the primary interface with cross‑functional stakeholders and is accountable for driving cost‑efficient, high‑quality, and innovative procurement initiatives, fully aligned with global strategies while responding to regional business needs.
Main procurement domains: Store Construction, Facility, Events, Communication, Client Engagement, Visual Merchandising, Travel, Professional services, and consulting.
Key Accountabilities
Strategies & Projects
- Define and execute the Americas Indirect Procurement strategy in alignment with global procurement objectives and category strategies
- Partner with corporate business leaders to adopt methods, best practices, and KPIs, and support the regional rollout of cross-functional initiatives
- Be responsible for strategies and actions to be implemented for the brand whether they are managed by him/her or at Brand or Group level
- Identify, prioritize, and deliver optimization and value‑creation initiatives, with full accountability for results and compliance
- Establish financial, qualitative, and sustainability targets for procurement initiatives
- Lead, develop, and coordinate the regional indirect procurement team and community
Operation
- Manage expenses analysis
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement projects, including requirements definition, sourcing strategies, scenario analysis, negotiations, contracting, and implementation, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Identify, onboard, and manage high‑performing suppliers; define KPIs and governance frameworks; monitor performance, compliance, and risk
- Serve as a procurement subject‑matter expert by developing and implementing frameworks, guidelines, tools, and best practices across the organization
- Partner with Finance to ensure budget discipline, track savings, and measure total cost of ownership of implemented initiatives
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor, consolidate, and report procurement performance using quantitative and qualitative indicators
- Support the development of the Brand Balanced Scorecard and contribute to executive‑level reporting for senior leadership
Key Requirements
- Degree in Economy | Finance | Business Administration or equivalent, preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in indirect procurement, including project leadership, tender management, and cost‑savings initiatives
- Experience in complex international environment and/or in Fashion / Luxury industry is a plus
- Proven experience operating in complex, international, and matrixed environments and able to balance global standardization with regional flexibility to maximize value and business impact
- Strong analytical capabilities (cost analysis, tender optimization, scenario modeling)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to work with agility in a dynamic environment, continuously reprioritzing in line with business needs
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of Italian or French preferred
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on, execution‑oriented approach
- High standards of professional ethics, integrity, and accountability
- Collaborative leadership style, with strong problem‑solving and team‑building capabilities

Salary Range – New York
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, GUCCI includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $166,500 USD to $185,000.
