The House

Alexander McQueen is a British luxury brand founded in 1992 by Lee Alexander McQueen. Rooted in the designer's training on Savile Row, the House pushes the boundaries of British tailoring traditions, emphasizing cut, proportion and silhouette. Over the years, the House became renowned for its theatrical and innovative approach, with shows that were emotionally impactful and often provocative, creating a sense of spectacle. In 2011, "Savage Beauty", the brand’s retrospective at the Met in New York, was a major success, attracting over 650,000 visitors. Today, the House of Alexander McQueen continues its legacy of uncompromising creativity and precise tailoring. &nbsp;

History

The House is founded in London by Lee Alexander McQueen. 

1992  

Alexander McQueen shows the Bumster, provocative ultra low-rise trousers, as part of the Fall/Winter presentation entitled Taxi Driver, and again at the brand’s first runway show for Spring/Summer 1994, Nihilism. 

1993 

The Spring/Summer 1999 show, entitled No. 13, features a performance by model Shalom Harlow wearing a dress spray-painted by two robotic arms.

The Store Operations Manager is also responsible for the correct handling of goods in store and care of the product and compliance with KPIs, guidelines and company procedures. Business Performance:<ul><li>As part of the store leadership team, implement action plans and drive performance of the team to exceed financial targets and maximize sales performances and optimise Retail Operations and BOH organisation contributing to the success of the entire store</li><li>Contribute to enhancing the Client Journey through the optimisation of Retail Operations functions and BOH organisation and stock care</li><li>Lead the store team on the shop floor during shifts where the Store Manager or other Managers are not present to ensure leadership presence on the shop floor, and team motivation at all times</li><li>Together with the Store Manager meet store operating budget by monitoring store expenses</li><li>Share any changes or updates relating to Operations among the Store leadership team and cascade to store team</li><li>Proactively follow current competitors and fashion trends, industry news and new innovations in technology.</li></ul>Retail Operations:<ul><li>Set policies and procedures for store teams to follow</li><li>Carries out regular in store checks and audits to ensure store teams are following set policies and procedures</li><li>Successfully on-boards store employees, ensuring that adequate information and resource is provided</li><li>Consistently looks for opportunities to streamline and improve working efficiencies</li><li>Reviews store operations and organisation, analysing information and making sound suggestion to improve operational management of store</li><li>Liaises with external parties to ensure required permits or documentation are in order</li><li>Ensures Fire Safety &amp; Health &amp; Safety procedures are in place and followed</li><li>Supports the setup of in store events to ensure successful execution</li><li>Ensure the care and protection of the product according to company guidelines</li><li>Oversee the day-to-day management of goods receipt and ensure storage is in line with company procedures as well as prepares the products to be brought to the sales floor and in special areas to maximize efficiency in timing</li><li>Ensure that shop-to-shop and returns transfers are compliant with company guidelines and timeline</li></ul>Store Maintenance:<ul><li>Manages cleaning companies used for store locations &amp; office</li><li>Identifies, manages, and schedules contractors to carry out work in store, ensuring a thorough job is completed</li><li>Defines back of house ways of working and monitors to ensure that stores are acting in accordance</li><li>Regularly reviews supplier services and identifies opportunities to reduce costs or improve service</li><li>Acts on store emergencies to ensure repairs and service are executed in a timely manner</li><li>Liaises with Loss Prevention and Security on store issues where necessary</li><li>Acts as point of contact with security guard firms and ensures rotation of security guards</li><li>Acts as first point of contact for all store operational issues, escalating to Store Manager where needed</li><li>Responsible for seeing through the after sales process and ensuring store team and clients are updated</li><li>Order and distribute staff uniforms in a timely manner</li><li>Maintain back of house standards to enable the best client experience</li><li>Regularly train Client Advisors on BOH organization and the importance of stock care</li></ul>Stock &amp; Inventory:<ul><li>Prepares for and plans out the inventory checks across all stores</li><li>Puts in place a process for systematic inventory checks</li><li>Supports stores with inventory checks and reconciliations</li><li>Supports stores leading into preparation for sale and the transfer out of sale</li><li>Responsible for managing in store damaged stock</li><li>Monitors and follows up on negative-on-hand and outstanding consignments</li><li>Co-ordinates and monitors the various cycle counts as per the company guidelines and policies</li><li>Provides training and guidance to the store teams to minimise stock loss and damages</li><li>Manage the flow of OMNI orders making sure to guarantee the required service levels.</li><li>Manage correct flow of adjustments</li><li>Ensure that the company guidelines are adopted in the event of theft, especially in terms of communication and documentation produced.</li><li>Monitor in-transit and when needed liaise with relevant departments.</li><li>Work with all internal and external stakeholders, with a service-oriented collaborative, available and versatile approach.</li></ul>Logistics &amp; Supplies<ul><li>Streamlines ordering of supplies and seeks cost saving alternatives</li><li>Manages all courier and shipping accounts and ensures team follow guidelines</li><li>Maintains inventory levels of packaging</li><li>Evaluates shipping suppliers and couriers to ensure most efficient and cost-effective service is in place</li></ul>Team leadership<ul><li>Promote a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, respect, and superior performance standards, leading by example and in line with the House Code of Behaviours.</li><li>Empowering the team to be the best versions of themselves.
