The House

A symbol of quintessential Italian luxury, Gucci was founded in 1921, when Guccio Gucci opened his first store in Florence. His visionary creativity and passion for Italian craftsmanship paved the way for a revolutionary style, blending traditional aristocratic codes with dolce vita flair. The House soon became a global reference for high-quality leather goods, with items such as the Horsebit 1953 loafer, the Jackie 1961 handbag and the Bamboo 1947 line becoming instant classics. Since then, Gucci has built an enduring legacy, cemented by its iconic creative directors, culminating in Demna’s contemporary vision for the brand.

History&nbsp;

The year 2025 marks a new chapter for Gucci. After 10 years redefining modern luxury at Balenciaga, Demna was named Artistic Director of Gucci, leading the House towards renewed fashion authority and enduring cultural relevance. Marking a return to storytelling, going back to the future by way of the past, Demna’s vision for Gucci revitalizes the brand’s legacy through a strong aesthetic language.&nbsp;

Creative Vision

Guccio Gucci founds his eponymous House and opens his first​​ ​store in Florence, at Via della Vigna Nuova 7, marking the foundation of the House.​

Opening of the first Gucci store in New York, marking the beginning of the House’s international expansion. Launch of the Horsebit loafer.​

1953

Tom Ford is appointed as Gucci’s first Creative Director, ushering in a new era for the House.​

1994

1999

Francesca Belletini is appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Demna becomes Artistic Director of the House, starting a new chapter in its evolution.​

Role MissionBased in Miami, the Gucci Facilities Manager South is responsible for overseeing the overall repairs and maintenance, facility operations and continued architectural preservation requirements of the stores in the South market. The Manager will work closely with store management, market directors, regional operations, loss prevention and visual merchandising teams along with vendors/contractors to identify any problems. The Manager will continuously develop short and/or long-term sustainable solutions and coordinate all scheduled work which includes, scheduling, coordinating, negotiating, as well as follow through of all South retail facilities maintenance such as millwork, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, janitorial, MEP, fire protection systems, elevator inspections, all general repairs as well as store close outs and openings.Key Accountabilities<ul><li>Build and maintain relationships with all Store Directors and Operations Managers;</li><li>Assist the team in coordinating small scale layout improvements such as fixture reconfigurations and special project installations in collaboration with Store Planning and Worldwide teams;</li><li>Identify problems and work on solutions, coordinating with the Store Management teams and vendors;</li><li>Liaison with the store teams, Visual Merchandising and Loss Prevention as well as vendors to ensure minimal store/business interruption;</li><li>Coordinate repairs and maintenance of stores through Service Channel (website and app);</li><li>Implement the use of Service Channel with all Store Directors, Operation Managers as well as vendors and perform on-going training to teams as needed;</li><li>Review and negotiate all cost proposals;</li><li>Develop and maintain cost summary of all maintenance work (OPEX and CAPEX maintenance) reviewing with Director of Facilities;</li><li>Develop a site visit schedule to all South locations to ensure store conditions are up to Gucci regional and WW standards;</li><li>Track and maintain all records for floor plans, specs, materials, projects, and preferred vendor list for each store;</li><li>Review installations on-site as required, verifying that repairs and lay-out improvements are being installed correctly;</li><li>Review and approve proposal and invoices on a timely basis;</li><li>Follow up with outstanding repairs and maintenance issues;</li><li>Provide status update to Director of Facilities regularly;</li><li>Address urgent facilities issues immediately.
