We are currently seeking an Account Executive who will report to the Vice President of Wholesale as part of our dynamic team in our New York corporate office.

Your opportunity

The Account Executive role is accountable for growing Bottega Veneta’s wholesale business through partnership with leading department stores, online retailers and independent retailers. The position is responsible for approx. 50 points of sales throughout the America’s region. This role’s main objective is to actively drive sales by selling seasonal collections during the campaigning, and identify revue-driving opportuning by analyzing current sales, competitive landscape and future trends. In addition, s/he is responsible for executing initiatives to open new doors and grow existing client base. This position requires domestic and international travel to promote Bottega Veneta brand strategically.

How you will contribute

  • Consistently achieve monthly and seasonal sales plans and annual target
  • Build relationships with buyers , dept. store retail and specialist through daily communication
  • Meet and negotiate with key accounts on financial plans and sales targets prior to start of the season
  • Strong analytical ability and knowledge of selling reports to drive business
  • Explore new accounts and business opportunities to be present for approval 
  • Create and review weekly selling recaps(by client/ category) with actions to drive sales
  • Drive incremental sales by monitoring seasonal reorder opportunities, stock levels and permanent programs
  • Monitor shipping for responsible accounts
  • Management of skypad program to support reporting needs
  • Monitor stores presentation and performance ensuring they meet brand standards
  • Collaborate with department store teams including but not limited to personal shoppers, stylist, VICs, VM & selling managers, specialist and buying office to drive sales at a retail level
  • Conduct bi- weekly calls with specialist in order to compile reports, including but not limited to, opportunities to drive sales and report on selling trends at a store level
  • Manage Bottega Veneta markdown suggestions and pricing structure with key accounts

Market week/ seasonal campaign

  • Present collection to clients during market appointment in Milan
  • Collaborate with accounts on selection and coordination of seasonal buys by providing consistent feedback with the support of sales data
  • Market week preparation including appointment scheduling, analyze current business to create strategies for the upcoming collection
  • Work with accounts to substitute any cancellations to ensure sales are not lost
  • Enter all clients’ orders during sales campaign and send client order confirmations once finalized
  • Creatively present the collection to clients unable to travel through linesheets and other visual tools  
  • Track customer orders during the campaign to ensure seasonal target is achieved

Product training/ merchandising

  • Plan, execute and lead all selling events for key accounts
  • Coordinate with BV training department and sales assistant to create monthly training decks to send to specialist and store managers, including product knowledge, selling tips and VM/ merchandising guidelines
  • Drive sales through in- store support taking a proactive approach
  • Frequent market visits to assess product assort. coherent with sales and image of the stores competitor benchmarking, visual set up, events, new opening etc. 
  • Partner with VM in order to guarantee the correct support/ guidelines in-store
  • Provide BV  WW Merchandising department with monthly feedback and sales analysis
  • Manage key accounts Specialist/ DSA program and Shop-in- shops to maintain BV standards and drive sales

Misc.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail landscape and competitors’ business
  • Upload monthly selling data for HQ reporting system
  • Create briefs to propose special projects and new store/ act openings and vm or marketing requests
  • Partner with DOS merch team to maximize US inventory across both channels
  • Liaison with key partners in the Milan office and worldwide team
  • Analyze customer base and apply clienteling guidelines to foster client relationships and loyalty
  • Perform projects and assignments as needed/directed by Manager
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service with all partners
  • Schedule travel arrangements using best judgment to maximize individual travel budget

Who you are

  • Minimum 5 years of wholesale experience preferably in the luxury market
  • Proven ability to thrive in a goal-driven and fast pace environment including achieving and exceeding financial targets
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy level, and detail/team oriented
  • Complete Proficient in PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel ( v-look ups, Pivot tables, formulas) and Word
  • Produce professional quality PPT decks to be presented to management
  • Possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of Italian language is a plus
  • Ability to problem solve in a self-sufficient, resourceful manner resulting in creative solutions
  • Strong retail math skills; proficient understanding of retail sales and OTB plans
  • Capable to travel domestically and internationally approx., but no limited to 2 weeks per month
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekend as needed to support retail stores hours and events
