As a leader in automation engineering, you will be part of the Kering Americas operations strategy to deliver value to all of Kering’s luxury brands through attention to continuous improvement of the company’s logistics performance while maintaining best in class level of service to Kering’s brands and their clients and simultaneously working within a cost-effective structure.
Sitting within the Operational Excellence team in our Wayne, NJ center which includes Kering Americas’ state-of-the-art office and attached Distribution Center, focused on operations, logistics and distribution planning, this position will support a structured and punctual monitoring of relevant costs and performance indicators that will trigger the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives for distribution planning.
How you will contribute
Lead collaborative discussions between key stakeholders to determine automation capabilities already existing within Kering’s system and at Kering’s Distribution Center and how to continuously improve them.
Lead automation weekly meetings with business partners
Monitor SLA, invoices, and relationships with external partners
Review and validate proposals from internal and external partners on continuous improvement actions.
Work on strategies to improve situations involving stoppages for preventive maintenance, automation layout or functionalities modifications.
Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades, including but not limited to the use of and reliance on Kering’s conveyor system, Dematic.
Create detailed road maps to guide automation projects from conception to final implementation
Who you are
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automation engineering
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a relevant technical field.
Experience in warehouse operations, notably in automated warehouses
Experience in PLC programming
Strong ability with software testing and validation
Good communication and organizational skills
