The Financial Controlling Specialist will be part of the Southern Europe Controlling Team, playing a key role in financial controlling, planning, and internal control activities across the region’s retail entities. The role involves close collaboration with Regional Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Manage month-end closing activities and prepare reporting packages for the Divisional Finance Department
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, including data submission, variance analysis, and commentary
- Monitor and control CapEx investments
- Prepare monthly P&L reporting for retail entities and perform variance analysis for Regional Finance
- Support balance sheet reviews and related variance analysis
- Deliver monthly reporting for retail managers and operational functions (Facilities, Security, HR, Communications) to ensure cost control
- Assist during tax audits
- Actively contribute to statutory financial statements preparation and external audit processes
- Review accounting data to identify and resolve inaccuracies or discrepancies
- Prepare periodic turnover certificates
- Produce monthly data submissions for national statistics authorities
- Handle ad hoc financial queries and perform additional analyses as required
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling within a multinational company or consulting firm
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven team-working capabilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and BI tools for performance and KPI monitoring
- SAP knowledge is a plus
- Retail industry experience is a plus
- Fluent in Italian and English; French is a plus
Salary Package
- Gross Annual Salary: starting from 35.000€ (unless otherwise agreed, in the event of a positive outcome of the selection process, should specific levels of experience and autonomy and/or particular competencies emerge during the selection process, based on objective criteria).
- NCBA (National Collective Bargaining Agreement): D111 PELLI E SUCCEDANEI
- Bonuses and Commissions: Annual Target Bonus as per the company-level collective agreement in force, up to 20% of the Gross Annual Salary.
