Summary
Reporting to the Greater China Logistics Director, this role manages operations and logistics in the area via organizing the storage and distribution of goods and ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost.
The position is involved in the selection of the logistic providers and carriers for local warehousing and last mile distribution and will be responsible for stock control and transportation and in monitoring the flow of goods. As part of a global logistics and distribution supply chain the position is involved in the application of the WW logistic strategies in the area, strictly connected with local flows and activities.
The position manages the team to measure performances of 3PL in providing logistic and distribution services to fulfill the business needs which is a very important part of the function.
Job Description
How you will contribute
Monitoring quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the move and storage of goods;
Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems;
Managing the performance of 3PL to ensure all KPIs are met
Build up a healthy relationship with brands, be supportive to their business and yet challenge their decisions based on own logistics knowledge
Contributing to develop business by analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
Monitoring product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal and Customs requirements
Maintaining metrics, reports, process documentation
Preparing or file environmental certification applications
Developing risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios
Managing budget preparation, control and monitoring in the responsible areas
Who you are
Experience in warehouse management and distribution
Experience in project management
Knowledge of customs operations and import management
“Multi-tasking” approach to the several issues to be managed with capability to define priorities when needed
Excellent communication skill
Pro-active approach in finding out innovative solutions
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Fluent English spoken and written
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff, when required
Capability to perform financial calculations and create and manage budgets
