Role Mission

The Client Events Manager will oversee all retail event initiatives for Gucci America and is responsible for leading the Gucci America retail events integrated strategies that align with the global brand image, while supporting the business objectives within the Gucci America store network and Client Engagement priorities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee and execute client focused events in local markets;

  • Manage digital invitation requests and liaise with Worldwide creative team;

  • Ideate and create collateral as needed for event activations;

  • Guest list coordination for individual client events – liaise with Client Engagement Team;

  • Travel to stores to execute events in local markets;

  • Create and distribute event guidelines for client events and store openings in North America;

  • Partner with WW to uphold Gucci standards/guidelines for all client event activities in North America;

  • Maintain master budget;

  • Manage individual event budgets;

  • Maintain calendar of events;

  • Build and maintain rapport and relationships with vendors;

  • Collaborate with legal on all vendor agreements/contracts;

  • Create event timelines for each event to share with store and regional teams;

  • Create event presentations including floor plans, collateral, activations, KPI Goals to share with internal partners per each event;

  • Produce and execute all elements of events including invitation verbiage and fulfillment, vendor management on site, execution on site including set-up and breakdown;

  • Create and manage post event recaps at the end of each event to analyze sales results, best practices, and other metrics to include in reporting;

  • Maintain relationships with cross functional partners i.e., Merchandising, PR, Legal, Security, Digital, etc.;

  • Maintain relationships with and liaise with Milan office, store directors, regional teams to successfully coordinate all event needs;

  • Brainstorm, strategize and propose new event concepts and plans when needed;

  • Manage competitor reports in markets monthly.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in event planning and production;

  • Experience with hands-on event planning and logistics management;

  • Demonstrate project management including ability to manage several initiatives/events at once;

  • Attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills;

  • Proficient negotiation skills;

  • Responds well under pressure;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and work under tight deadlines and pressure;

  • Excellent collaboration skills;

  • Strong time management skills;

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required;

  • Strong work ethic and be an enthusiastic team player;

  • Experience in the luxury industry preferred.
