Role Mission
The main responsibility of the Assistant Cost Controller will be to provide support to the Vice President of Store Planning and Facilities and the Senior Cost Controller with all Store Planning administrative, budgeting and reconciliation activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for daily administrative tasks for the VP of Store Planning and Facilities which includes the scheduling of meetings, preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and minutes;
- Develop and maintain a store planning project tracker with all milestones and critical dates for each ongoing store planning project;
- Work with the legal capex database for data entry and project updates;
- Partner with the Store Planning Project Managers to collect all lien waivers and close out books for each project;
- Collect invoices and work with accounts payable for payment and updating vendors on payment status;
- Work closely with Senior Cost Controller on budgeting and cost plan updates;
- Collect all related documents to prepare tenant allowance packages for directly operated stores, leased and wholesale projects;
- Ad-hoc projects as needed.
Key Requirements
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a related position;
- Experience in a retail finance or store planning/construction department a plus;
- Finance or Accounting degree required;
- Strong math skills;
- Must be proficient in excel and powerpoint;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Able to work cross functionally in a collaborative environment;
- Must be detail oriented and be able to work with a sense of urgency.
