ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio- cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

ROLE

Reporting to Senior Manager in Japan with a dotted line report to the Vice President of Japan.

Manage and drive all retail activities on a daily basis and manage and challenge retail teams.  Responsible for analyzing, planning, merchandising, budgeting based on KPI, as well as managing store development in collaboration with Senior Manager.  Proactive management of retail staff and store managers through leadership and supervision to ensure highest level of customer service, store experience and strong product knowledge.

MISSION

・Managing and controlling store budgets

・Plan store development with Senior Manager & Vice President

・Management of store managers and staff, including

・Analysis store performance with KPI

・Management and driving of incentive program for retail teams

・Proactive problem solving to daily store related issues raised by managers/staff

・Responsible for cost control and effectiveness in operation by monitoring all system activities

・Quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting of sales results

・Managing and driving retail marketing and promotional programs including CRM and in-store

SKILLS

・Over 7 years experience in retail (fashion RTW preferable, but other sectors such as shoes, accessories, jewels, Fast Fashion etc. also possible)

・Not be necessarily the luxury fashion business who might possess strong network with department stores and possible to come from non-sales background such as merchandising or financial planning.

・Strong leadership to implement sales excellence and new data-driven analytical sales approach

・Having up-and coming with passion and curiosity and high emotional intelligence

・Have good structured and logical communication skills and a proactive and timely communication style to develop strong relationship with headquarters.

・Having the strategic direction of the business and able to contribute a wide variety of topics as required.

・Having spirit of adventure and a sense of excitement about trying new things

・Business level of English skill preferred

・No Nationality regulated
