ROLE
As a priority role you will be required to manage purchasing of generic materials and packaging parts for leather and fabrics manufacturing, ensuring the provision of goods and services in a timely and cost effective manner.
You will also be required to propose and support the implementation of new procurement initiatives on this direct spends with the aim to bring costs efficiencies and innovation in the production process.
MISSION
1- Operational activities
Define and negotiate provision prices with the suppliers indicated and/or in cooperation with Engineering Dept. of the different product categories
Research of new potential packaging and complementary material suppliers
Manage order based on MRP’s needs and forecasts
Estimate supplies future demands
Liaise with suppliers and production departments to ensure that orders advance in a timely manner and manage reports’ updates
Liaise with internal departments of the different product categories (Planning, Production, Product development and Engineering) on a daily basis and update orders accordingly
Input and manage orders and material movements through the management software programs
2- Strategic activities:
Contribute, under the responsibility of the Brand procurement department head, to set procurement strategies in line with production priorities, internal requirements, market trends best practices and supplier capabilities
Support and implement procurement initiatives: perform competitive sourcing activities, negotiate and analyze scenarios to be proposed for final selection, collaborate to contractualization with selected suppliers, monitor supplier’s performance
Report procurement performance
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role for fashion companies OR in a direct procurement organization within manufacturing
Master’s degree in Economics OR Engineering
Analytic skills (bid and cost analysis, TCO scenario modelling etc.)
Result oriented, proactive and strong negotiation and diplomacy skilled
Fluent in English, French knowledge preferred
Strong Excel and Power Point capability
Relevant experience in main management software programs, AS400 and Stealth knowledge
Team work attitude
