ROLE
Be responsible for metal hardware materials suppliers’ portfolio through the development and implementation of purchasing categories strategies and projects and be responsible for ensuring quality, processes improvement (from the allotment to the delivery), sustainability and costs saving
MISSION
- Ensure strategy vision, definition and execution for metal hardware components
- Follow and implement policies and procedures to pursue the Purchasing strategy defined in consistency and compliance with Group frame work and guidelines
- Analize metal hardware trend and do the reports needed to show up, prevent and improve the purchasing activities
- Set economic and/or qualitative targets for metal hardware components
- Look for, develop, evaluate and implement new suppliers and new processes on metal hardware components
- Be a senior negotiator in charge to finalize the best deals with the suppliers
- Select and manage performing suppliers, define KPIs, evaluate their performance and compliance
- Manage and improve KPIs, vendor rating and performance
- Take care of coding and order activities
- Manage and plan metal hardware quality team activities, verifying the regular quality controls to assure Production quality, defining policy of these controls and verifying good alignment and criteria
- Develop and maintain Production Masters and tolerance masters pieces, according to Metal Hardware Development, to ensure quality of production
- Plan and define metal parts planning deliveries in order to respect the collection plan and the reorders as requested
- Act as operational link between the Metal Hardware Development and the Production departments
- Manage, lead and support the team through the definition and the follow up of objectives and priorities and motivate them
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in purchasing for fashion companies
- Good technical knowledge concerning metal hardware materials and leather is a plus
- Excellent planning and project management abilities
- Experience of successfully leading managing a team is required
- Leadership and team work
- Problem solving and change management attitude
- Analytical, persuasion and creativity abilities
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of organization and suppliers
- Quality driven attitude
- Excellent in reporting and coding in terms of IT activities
- Fluent in English
- AS400 knowledge desired
