Summary

The Network Manager must have a strong background in information technology with a clear understanding of the challenges of various functions among networking. It requires excellent analytical and problem solving abilities to identify and remediate network issues. To build understanding and awareness of network capabilities throughout the organization, this person must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

This role is expected to interface with Global Operations & Infrastructure team, peers in the Regional Business Solutions and Countries teams, as well as Business units across the APAC region. Good team collaboration skills to develop network solutions jointly with other IT professionals among the teams is a must.

This role is direct manage a team of distributed network experts across Asia Pacific Region, strong people management skill is necessary.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Primary responsibility is to be the Kering internal referent at the Group level managing network architecture and issues related to WAN / LAN / WiFi / VoIP / Network Security and as such will need to complete following tasks:

  • Manage the WAN for all assigned APAC countries, while coordinating closely with the Kering Corporate and external partners to achieve the best results for the Kering group in the region, including the migration, monitoring, troubleshooting and regular maintenance of all sites local in the countries
  • Responsible to implement and monitor the LAN, WiFi, VoIP in the region in line with the defined standards
  • Collaborate with the Global Operations & Infrastructure team for the network architecture and standards definitions
  • Responsible for preparing and the analysis of APAC infrastructure budget related to Network projects and ongoing activities
  • Procurement of network services on behalf of users/customers in the region
  • Engage with different stakeholders across the group to provide support in defining network requirements among the countries; align the technical needs with Global, Regional and country specific goals
  • Anticipate and articulate issues from the brands and businesses, and work within the organization to provide resolution through effective communication internally & externally
  • Participate in root cause analysis, report review and process flow design
  • Responsible for the design and capacity planning for the corporate backbone infrastructure (especially datacenters)
  • Continuously to provide improvements and solutions to ensure the highest level of availability of our centralized infrastructures
  • Develop and evolve architectures in collaboration with other technical centers of expertise (security, virtualization, storage, datacenter)
  • Ensure Level 2 and Level 3 support activities are appropriately present in front our internal customers
  • Handle the relationship with carriers and suppliers at the regional level

Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills to the regional team:

  • Required to manage the Kering APAC Network Team, in providing a comprehensive, coordinated and integrated service to the Kering regional group
  • Continuously improve network operations support and processes while effectively controlling costs
  • Provide proper budgeting and forecasts for the region’s network operations as well as the shared service revenue calculations
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to create and build catalogs of services and architecture standards with the carriers or suppliers, in collaborate with Kering global O&I teams to maintain service catalogs that can be clearly presented to the MIS teams in the region as well as the brand business owners
  • Communicate effectively with internal businesses and MIS teams, and effectively make sound management decisions
  • Coach and lead the regional and local network teams to constantly challenge themselves and to display professionalism

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

  • Conduct evaluations, analysis and calculations of network risks to prepare for robust disaster recovery procedures and business continuity planning
  • Produce and manage disaster recovery and business continuity work practices, in coordination with the Kering Global Operations Manager, Regional DC Manager and Regional Security Manager
  • Work as a member of the regional DRP/BCP project team to develop sound project plans in addressing components that are related to the network domains

QUALIFICATIONS & CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

Technical:

  • Knowledge of Cisco wireless technology in managing Cisco WLC and Cisco Prime / WCS in regional firm previously
  • Knowledge in managing Cisco routers as well as L2/L3 switch, including the legacy types
  • Knowledge in Cisco TACAS
  • Knowledge in Network Monitoring System
  • Knowledge in DNS/DHCP product such as IPAM
  • Strong understanding of firewall technologies Juniper / Cisco / Checkpoint
  • Knowledge in Juniper SSL-VPN
  • Knowledge in Riverbed WAN accelerator
  • Knowledge in Cisco / Polycom IPT
  • Knowledge in Polycom / Tandberg VC
  • In depth knowledge on L4-L7 protocols such as SSL,HTTP,DNS,SMTP and IPSec
  • Packet Shaper, Load Balancer and Proxy Server knowledge
  • Intermediate to expert IDS/IPS knowledge
  • Knowledge of forensic tools such as Encase, FTK, Helix, Wireshark
  • Risk assessments
  • Security policy knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of incident investigations processes and reporting
  • Knowledge in designing and building DRP and BCP procedures and documentations

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field or equivalent in education and experience
  • 10+ years of total IT experience
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience with a team of at least 5 people, with experience on managing distributed team is preferred.
  • Experience in managing network and infrastructure in a MNC environment
  • Experience in managing global Network Carriers and global SIs.
  • Experience in managing large scale of global network with 200+ locations and 2,000+ devices in multi-countries
  • Strong experience implementing networking technology including extensive experience with the following: Ethernet, LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewall, VoIP
  • Experience in installing, configuring, supporting and managing Cisco network hardware including routers, switches & concentrators, VPN appliances, firewalls, WLC
  • Experience in Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection & Prevention (IDP) systems
  • Experience in creating network policies and standards
  • Experience in network management, and mastering analytical tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Change Management frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems independently and to generate innovative solutions over a large backbone network
  • Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Familiar with business operations in retail industry

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

MANDATORY

  • CCNP, MCSE, PMP

PREFERRED

  • CCIE, ITIL, CISA, CISSP, CDCP
