Position Description:
The General Manager will be in charge of defining and executing short and long-term strategies and action plans for Boucheron Hong Kong & Macao with corporate international guidelines support.
Your main missions would be the following:
Business Development & Goals achievement
- In charge of identifying and proposing new business development opportunities to grow the markets according to the brand’s plan
- Develop High Jewelry Business in Hong Kong and Macau market
- Define and execute annual retail and wholesale plans
- Analyze main business trends and provide regular detailed feedback to the business
- New DOS openings including design, construction, buying, staffing and follow up
- Deliver DOS sales targets
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords to ensure long-term development in the territory
- Timely order/reorder to achieve sell-through goals in the respect of the inventory levels
Brand / Store Image
- Ensure Store image perfectly aligned with Corporate guidelines
- Ensure outstanding service, including perfect staff grooming and After Sales Service
- CRM: VIP database development (quality and quantity)
Marketing & Communication
- Implement local marketing initiatives as per Corporate guidelines
- Recommend local communication platform
- Develop strong local PR (relationships with journalists, manage events)
P&L and Cashflow Management & Operations
- As a member of the Management Team, participate in strategic development plans of the brand
- Prepare budget and forecast plans including sales plans, operating budgets, staffing plans, marketing plans and capital expenditures
- Anticipate the needs of the structure on both people and system to cope with the growth of the brand
- Ensure that all operating units conform with local and national statutory laws and regulations as well as adhere to brand’s policies
- Ensure the fluidity of the logistics in the territory to have a correct supply of products
- KPI analysis to ensure proper performance tracking
Organization
- Build an effective structure, aligned, empowered and accountable
- Increase motivation, retain, and develop key talent within the team
- Set goals to departments to meet brand’s plans
- Implement group and brand HR policies to ensure employee development
- Lead the team to ensure that the financial targets are met while infusing the core value of honesty, entrepreneurship
Who you are:
Experience, business and technical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience in luxury retail (ideally Fine/ High Jewelry, Watches)
- Strong business mindset and highly sensitive to the figures
- Good management and interpersonal skills, problem solving-oriented with a pro-active and flexible approach
- Possess good communication and strong analytical skill
- Well organized, self-motivated as well as a good team player
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin
- Proficient in MS Office
- Frequent travel is required
