We are currently seeking an R2R Accountant to be based at the Finance Shared Service Centre in Haywards Heath who will report to the Financial Controller of the Bottega Veneta UK and Ireland entities.
Your opportunity
You will work collaboratively within the Finance Shared Services department in order to support on the preparation of the month end reporting, compliance activities and daily UK finance operations for the Bottega Veneta entities. You will be supported by an Assistant Accountant who will report directly into you.
How you will contribute
- Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of month end reporting, including posting month end journals HFM loading and analysis of the P&L
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of the fixed assets including creating fixed assets, depreciation, disposals and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
- Support in preparation of budget and forecast
- Expense claim review and processing
- Completing Intercompany recharges and reconciliations
- Preparing Intercompany payment runs
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Preparation of tax packs
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Responding to internal and external audit queries
- Responding to and supporting with queries raised by the Financial Controller, Bottega Veneta Division and other operational teams based in London.
- Management, coaching and performance appraisal of the Assistant Accountant
Who you are
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
- Strong Excel skills, including ability to use complex formulas
- Proficiency in SAP and HFM reporting
- A problem solver with a strong analytical mindset with a high attention to details
- An effective and positive team player with excellent management and communication skills, with an agile, collaborative and inclusive approach
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts
- Experience in retail / luxury retail business within a finance function is desirable
