ROLE
Be responsible for raw material suppliers’ portfolio (leathers, fabrics, packaging and other materials) through the development and implementation of purchasing categories strategies and projects and be responsible for ensuring quality, lead time, processes improvement, sustainability and costs saving
MISSION
Ensure strategy vision, definition and execution
Follow and implement policies and procedures to pursue the strategy defined in consistency and compliance with Group frame work and guidelines
Analise raw material trend and do the reports needed to show up and improve the purchasing activities
Set economic and/or qualitative targets for leather all the purchasing category
Look for, evaluate and implement new suppliers
Be a senior negotiator in charge to finalize the best deals with the suppliers
Select and manage performing suppliers, define KPIs, evaluate their performance and compliance
Manage and improve KPIs, vendor rating and performance
Take care of coding and order activities
Manage, lead and support the team through the definition and the follow up of objectives and priorities and motivate them
Act as operational link between the Material Research, the Raw Material’s QC Team and the Production Departments
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in purchasing for fashion companies
Good technical knowledge concerning leather and fabrics
Excellent planning and project management abilities
Experience of successfully leading managing a team is required
Leadership and team work
Problem solving and change management attitude
Analytical, persuasion and creativity abilities
Excellent communication skills with all levels of organization and suppliers
Quality driven attitude
Excellent in reporting and coding als in terms of IT activities
Fluent in English
AS400 knowledge desired
