【 ROLE MISSION 】 The Head of Retail HR is a strategic business partner and service provider working to maximize retail business results and fulfill the employer brand promise for our retail teams. Working closely with retail business leaders, the main mission of the Head of Retail HR is to guide and support the company’s growth and organizational development through the management, planning, and evolution of its retail human capital. Through effective direction of People Partners and partnership with regional retail business leaders, this role works to ensure execution of worldwide and regional strategies/initiatives and that all HR policies/procedures are implemented in a timely and effective manner.


Key qualifications

  • Previous experience in Retail HR Manager /Business Partner role is preferred (we will also consider candidates with background in Retail Operations, Retail Training and Talent Management)
  • Good understanding of HR practices and how they impact business
  • Previous experience in a fast paced, commercial and international environment
  • Proven track record of developing strong relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders; successful candidate must be resilient in building relationships with the business executives
  • At least 3 years of direct managerial experience
  • Strong business acumen: knowledge about the organization’s finances and operations and how talent management affects them. Capability to approach problem solving from a business-first perspective.

  • Strong sense of commitment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese
  • Good level of knowledge of MS Office (especially Powerpoint and Excel)
  • Analytical Skills: Experience in analyzing and interpreting numerical data, and translating analysis/insights into meaningful recommendations and solutions
  • High level of motivation, initiative, professionalism and a growth mindset
  • Collaborator and a team-player - an inclusive mindset and ability to build great relationships at all levels of the organization
